Well this is the last time I will be posting a blog. It has definitely been an awesome experience and an eye opener in alot of respects that's for sure. I have never done anything this hard in my life and even though it has been extremely painful, and frustrating to the point that I wanted to quit, it has also been extremely refreshing and satisfying as well.
I am so blessed to have met so many wonderful people through this journey and I am extremely thankful to have so many people that care about my well being and keeping the support going. Even though I am finished with the blog, I still have 15 sessions left with Jeremy and will be continuing to go the last little mile alone with him.
Today I was supposed to have a session with him but, as he has been working very hard and has had a few family issues going on in his life, he cancelled our session. However, when I went to ask him if there was someone else that could do the measurements for today, he must have felt like it was up to him to do it so we did them last night. I think he wanted to be the first one to find out the results.
So, in one year, I have lost a total of 86 lbs. I have gone down in the following areas:
Neck: 5 cm
Gluteus: 30 cm
Shoulders: 8 cm
Each thigh: 15 cm
Abdomen 1: 34 cm
Abdomen 2: 35 cm
I am very proud of what I have accomplished in the last year. I started out on this journey at 264lbs, barely able to walk, and in so much pain that I could not even carry in groceries from the car. Now I move much more easily, I can jog on the treadmill, and carrying things are much better for me. I can run after the kids that I interact with, with no trouble at all and I have so much more energy to accomplish the things that I want to do in my life.
Not only activity wise in my life, I have also gone from a minimum paying job to an actual career at Epcor, I have changed my views on wanting a family of my own, and in the next year, I will be on my own as well. I have many more goals in place for the next year and I hope to achieve all of them. I thank all of you for the support that you have given me as well as the motivation to keep going.

Day 378 - Weigh in
Today has been a good day I guess. I woke up at 8:30 am with full intentions of going to the gym but, I also knew that I had a few things I wanted to get done before going out to Grant and Carmen's for the boys birthday party.
I decided to forego the gym once again today. It's way too hot out there and I really didn't feel like going to the gym and sweating up a storm and then coming out to continue sweating. So, I didn't go. Not only that, but my back has really been way to sore in the last few days and I think I just need to relax.
I went downstairs, turned on the old wii and got the weigh in done, only to find out that I had gained another 2 lbs. I'm not exactly sure what is going on in the last couple weeks but, I do know that I am going to have to try that much harder to get this last little bit of weight gone. I am not quite sure how to stay motivated though. I will have to figure it out I guess.
After the weigh in I made breakfast, had a few smokes, and headed over to the esso to get the car cleaned up inside and out. I'm not exactly sure if it really did anything, but, I guess it looks better on the outside. :)
Once that was done, off I went out to Devon to the birthday party. I had a lot of fun, it was good to see the family again and I know that next weekend is going to be one heck of a busy weekend. Hopefully I will be able to manage to last as this is going to be a very busy couple of weeks coming up.
I did wind up doing my stretches last night as I will be doing them tonight. I hope I don't have a repeat of last night though. It took me about 15 - 20 min to get up off the floor. So today's blog is a little on the short side as I do have a long day tomorrow. Total weight loss for now is 82 lbs. Not too bad at all. Next week it will be way better. :)

Day 374 - Session - BIRTHDAY BEATING!
First of all I want to say that I am so blessed to have been able to make it to my 34th birthday. Every day I seem to be getting stronger and healthier and I feel SO amazing! I can't believe that 8 years ago my doctor told me that if I didn't get a handle on the way I was living that I wouldn't make it to my 30th birthday let alone my 34th. It only took me 7 years to start listening to him!
I also can't believe that it has almost been a complete year since I have started on this journey. I have learned so much in the way of exercise and healthy eating and even though I have fallen off the wagon so to speak a couple of times, I still get determined and get back on track. I am so very proud of myself.
I am also extremely thankful to Jeremy and all of his motivation, his persistance in helping me out, and putting up with my mood swings. I know that I have been angry at hin in the past a couple of times but, he did inform me today that he had to cancel a couple of sessions yesterday because of work. So at least I know I'm not the only one now. I guess I should be expecting it to happen every now and then because of the fact that he is in charge of 15 other trainers and also his workload is pretty large.
I am very very thankful to all of you that have been here to support me in this journey. Without the support and encouragement not to give up, it sure has helped me huge in staying focussed and watching the weight drop is also so refreshing. Yes, this is going to be one of those drawn out blogs.
To my big brother, (I know, Carmen will probably read this part to you) I love you so much and I want to thank you for being the protective and caring brother that you are. No matter how many stupid mistakes I make, you love me and try to take care of me no matter what and you are the best big brother I could ever ask for.
Mel, oh my buddy Mel. We have been through alot together all these many years and I love you to death! You have been there always for me when I am completely ticked off, sad, happy. Whatever mood I am in you are always there and I thank you so much. You are my best friend, my sister and I hope that we continue to grow stronger in our friendship, although I'm not too sure that we can have an even stronger friendship than we already have.
Sara - I know that you don't comment on the blogs but I do know that you read them and I know how proud you are of me. I love the fact that we have the kind of friendship where we can tell each other off and then in the next couple of seconds, give each other a hug and forget about the bad things. You also are like a sister to me and one of my best friends. I know that you also support me hugely (except for that coffee cake you bought me yesterday for my birthday that I thoroughly enjoyed, thanks) Love you babe!
Rhonda, dear Rhonda! You have been the best commentator throughout this whole thing and I am so happy to read your comments every single time! I know that we haven't talked in so many years, but, that is going to change! I have missed you so much and you are also such an inspiration to me in your own weight loss journey. I thank you hugely!
One more shoutout, to Carmen. You are always asking me how the gym is going, you are always interested in what I am doing and I really do love it when you present a challenge for me to beat. It makes me work that much harder to beat it! I especially love the fact that you are doing all that you can in the way of giving me awesome recipes to try out, and being so loving and supporting in all aspects of my life. I love you sister!
I know that there are quite a few others that I would like to thank but, for now, I think I need to get onto the session before I forget what I did. It was very good today as I have been home for half an hour and my hair is still soaking wet from sweat. Ew gross! Need a shower!
I arrived at the gym 15 min before my session was to start and I of course did my warm up on the treadmill. At 10, I wiped down the machine and went to meet Jeremy. The first thing he had me do was sit on a bench and with my legs raised off the floor, I had to move my hands from side to side, almost like I was pretending to hold onto a ball. I can`t remember what he called these but it was interesting needless to say.
From there I had to go down and up the stairs twice and then when I got back I had to repeat this exercise once more, this time with a 5lb medicine ball. Then I had to do about 15 reverse lunges and while in the lunge do a row with a resistance band. Down and up the stairs 2 times, this time with 2 8kg kettlebells and then I had to repeat everything. When I went down and up the stairs again I had to use the kettlebells 2 times and then go down and up 2 more times without.
By the time I was done the stairs this last time I felt my back starting to really bug me. So Jeremy had me do about 15 lower ab crunches on the bench, 15 more lunges and then we went over to this other machine where I had to basically stretch doubled over it towards the floor to try and stretch the back out.
We went back over to the bench to do another 15 lower ab crunches, 15 reverse lunges and then down and up the stairs 2 times again. Back to do the lower ab crunches and then we went over to the railing to stretch some more and then we went to the hamstring machine where we did some more stretching for the back. We went back over to the bench one more time to do the lower ab crunches and then finally a 3 min sprint on the bike. He gave me money to go over to Tim Hortons for coffee and bought me a birthday coffee as well. All in all, an awesome session!
Tonight I will be going out for supper with Jan, Merv and Shawn to Red Robins and I am very happy to be doing that. Other than that, no more plans for the day. My next session with Jeremy is next Friday at 10am once again. Yay!

Day 371 - Weigh in
It's been an interesting last few weeks that for sure. I am feeling really good and although the weigh in did not go as well as I had hoped, it really wasn't all that bad. I wasn't able to get into the gym yesterday as I was working fairly early in the morning and quite frankly, as I got home in the evening I was very tired and just didn't want to go anywhere or do anything.
Shawn and Merv wound up coming over last night spending a bit of time with us and we had quite a few laughs. It was fun, and when I was going to bed, I felt completely relaxed and ready for whatever the day would bring to me today.
I woke up a little later this morning and when I came downstairs to do the weigh in, I was a little bit nervous. I could have done a lot more in the way of exercise and eating last week and it showed. I weighed in at 180 lbs this week. I gained 2 lbs and quite honestly, I do feel it. This week I will have to try and step up my game a little bit and get back on track.
Being Canada day, and considering the fact that part of my homework was to have 1 personal day to not worry about work, family, or gym, I am going to do just that. I have a date for this afternoon and maybe later I will be going to watch the fireworks. Tomorrow however, is another story. Back to the grindstone.
Other than that, not much is really new. Just enjoying life at the moment and wanting to get back into what I have started. I guess time will only tell what is going to happen for truth. Bye for now!
