Well this is the last time I will be posting a blog. It has definitely been an awesome experience and an eye opener in alot of respects that's for sure. I have never done anything this hard in my life and even though it has been extremely painful, and frustrating to the point that I wanted to quit, it has also been extremely refreshing and satisfying as well.
I am so blessed to have met so many wonderful people through this journey and I am extremely thankful to have so many people that care about my well being and keeping the support going. Even though I am finished with the blog, I still have 15 sessions left with Jeremy and will be continuing to go the last little mile alone with him.
Today I was supposed to have a session with him but, as he has been working very hard and has had a few family issues going on in his life, he cancelled our session. However, when I went to ask him if there was someone else that could do the measurements for today, he must have felt like it was up to him to do it so we did them last night. I think he wanted to be the first one to find out the results.
So, in one year, I have lost a total of 86 lbs. I have gone down in the following areas:
Neck: 5 cm
Gluteus: 30 cm
Shoulders: 8 cm
Each thigh: 15 cm
Abdomen 1: 34 cm
Abdomen 2: 35 cm
I am very proud of what I have accomplished in the last year. I started out on this journey at 264lbs, barely able to walk, and in so much pain that I could not even carry in groceries from the car. Now I move much more easily, I can jog on the treadmill, and carrying things are much better for me. I can run after the kids that I interact with, with no trouble at all and I have so much more energy to accomplish the things that I want to do in my life.
Not only activity wise in my life, I have also gone from a minimum paying job to an actual career at Epcor, I have changed my views on wanting a family of my own, and in the next year, I will be on my own as well. I have many more goals in place for the next year and I hope to achieve all of them. I thank all of you for the support that you have given me as well as the motivation to keep going.

Day 378 - Weigh in
Today has been a good day I guess. I woke up at 8:30 am with full intentions of going to the gym but, I also knew that I had a few things I wanted to get done before going out to Grant and Carmen's for the boys birthday party.
I decided to forego the gym once again today. It's way too hot out there and I really didn't feel like going to the gym and sweating up a storm and then coming out to continue sweating. So, I didn't go. Not only that, but my back has really been way to sore in the last few days and I think I just need to relax.
I went downstairs, turned on the old wii and got the weigh in done, only to find out that I had gained another 2 lbs. I'm not exactly sure what is going on in the last couple weeks but, I do know that I am going to have to try that much harder to get this last little bit of weight gone. I am not quite sure how to stay motivated though. I will have to figure it out I guess.
After the weigh in I made breakfast, had a few smokes, and headed over to the esso to get the car cleaned up inside and out. I'm not exactly sure if it really did anything, but, I guess it looks better on the outside. :)
Once that was done, off I went out to Devon to the birthday party. I had a lot of fun, it was good to see the family again and I know that next weekend is going to be one heck of a busy weekend. Hopefully I will be able to manage to last as this is going to be a very busy couple of weeks coming up.
I did wind up doing my stretches last night as I will be doing them tonight. I hope I don't have a repeat of last night though. It took me about 15 - 20 min to get up off the floor. So today's blog is a little on the short side as I do have a long day tomorrow. Total weight loss for now is 82 lbs. Not too bad at all. Next week it will be way better. :)

Day 374 - Session - BIRTHDAY BEATING!
First of all I want to say that I am so blessed to have been able to make it to my 34th birthday. Every day I seem to be getting stronger and healthier and I feel SO amazing! I can't believe that 8 years ago my doctor told me that if I didn't get a handle on the way I was living that I wouldn't make it to my 30th birthday let alone my 34th. It only took me 7 years to start listening to him!
I also can't believe that it has almost been a complete year since I have started on this journey. I have learned so much in the way of exercise and healthy eating and even though I have fallen off the wagon so to speak a couple of times, I still get determined and get back on track. I am so very proud of myself.
I am also extremely thankful to Jeremy and all of his motivation, his persistance in helping me out, and putting up with my mood swings. I know that I have been angry at hin in the past a couple of times but, he did inform me today that he had to cancel a couple of sessions yesterday because of work. So at least I know I'm not the only one now. I guess I should be expecting it to happen every now and then because of the fact that he is in charge of 15 other trainers and also his workload is pretty large.
I am very very thankful to all of you that have been here to support me in this journey. Without the support and encouragement not to give up, it sure has helped me huge in staying focussed and watching the weight drop is also so refreshing. Yes, this is going to be one of those drawn out blogs.
To my big brother, (I know, Carmen will probably read this part to you) I love you so much and I want to thank you for being the protective and caring brother that you are. No matter how many stupid mistakes I make, you love me and try to take care of me no matter what and you are the best big brother I could ever ask for.
Mel, oh my buddy Mel. We have been through alot together all these many years and I love you to death! You have been there always for me when I am completely ticked off, sad, happy. Whatever mood I am in you are always there and I thank you so much. You are my best friend, my sister and I hope that we continue to grow stronger in our friendship, although I'm not too sure that we can have an even stronger friendship than we already have.
Sara - I know that you don't comment on the blogs but I do know that you read them and I know how proud you are of me. I love the fact that we have the kind of friendship where we can tell each other off and then in the next couple of seconds, give each other a hug and forget about the bad things. You also are like a sister to me and one of my best friends. I know that you also support me hugely (except for that coffee cake you bought me yesterday for my birthday that I thoroughly enjoyed, thanks) Love you babe!
Rhonda, dear Rhonda! You have been the best commentator throughout this whole thing and I am so happy to read your comments every single time! I know that we haven't talked in so many years, but, that is going to change! I have missed you so much and you are also such an inspiration to me in your own weight loss journey. I thank you hugely!
One more shoutout, to Carmen. You are always asking me how the gym is going, you are always interested in what I am doing and I really do love it when you present a challenge for me to beat. It makes me work that much harder to beat it! I especially love the fact that you are doing all that you can in the way of giving me awesome recipes to try out, and being so loving and supporting in all aspects of my life. I love you sister!
I know that there are quite a few others that I would like to thank but, for now, I think I need to get onto the session before I forget what I did. It was very good today as I have been home for half an hour and my hair is still soaking wet from sweat. Ew gross! Need a shower!
I arrived at the gym 15 min before my session was to start and I of course did my warm up on the treadmill. At 10, I wiped down the machine and went to meet Jeremy. The first thing he had me do was sit on a bench and with my legs raised off the floor, I had to move my hands from side to side, almost like I was pretending to hold onto a ball. I can`t remember what he called these but it was interesting needless to say.
From there I had to go down and up the stairs twice and then when I got back I had to repeat this exercise once more, this time with a 5lb medicine ball. Then I had to do about 15 reverse lunges and while in the lunge do a row with a resistance band. Down and up the stairs 2 times, this time with 2 8kg kettlebells and then I had to repeat everything. When I went down and up the stairs again I had to use the kettlebells 2 times and then go down and up 2 more times without.
By the time I was done the stairs this last time I felt my back starting to really bug me. So Jeremy had me do about 15 lower ab crunches on the bench, 15 more lunges and then we went over to this other machine where I had to basically stretch doubled over it towards the floor to try and stretch the back out.
We went back over to the bench to do another 15 lower ab crunches, 15 reverse lunges and then down and up the stairs 2 times again. Back to do the lower ab crunches and then we went over to the railing to stretch some more and then we went to the hamstring machine where we did some more stretching for the back. We went back over to the bench one more time to do the lower ab crunches and then finally a 3 min sprint on the bike. He gave me money to go over to Tim Hortons for coffee and bought me a birthday coffee as well. All in all, an awesome session!
Tonight I will be going out for supper with Jan, Merv and Shawn to Red Robins and I am very happy to be doing that. Other than that, no more plans for the day. My next session with Jeremy is next Friday at 10am once again. Yay!

Day 371 - Weigh in
It's been an interesting last few weeks that for sure. I am feeling really good and although the weigh in did not go as well as I had hoped, it really wasn't all that bad. I wasn't able to get into the gym yesterday as I was working fairly early in the morning and quite frankly, as I got home in the evening I was very tired and just didn't want to go anywhere or do anything.
Shawn and Merv wound up coming over last night spending a bit of time with us and we had quite a few laughs. It was fun, and when I was going to bed, I felt completely relaxed and ready for whatever the day would bring to me today.
I woke up a little later this morning and when I came downstairs to do the weigh in, I was a little bit nervous. I could have done a lot more in the way of exercise and eating last week and it showed. I weighed in at 180 lbs this week. I gained 2 lbs and quite honestly, I do feel it. This week I will have to try and step up my game a little bit and get back on track.
Being Canada day, and considering the fact that part of my homework was to have 1 personal day to not worry about work, family, or gym, I am going to do just that. I have a date for this afternoon and maybe later I will be going to watch the fireworks. Tomorrow however, is another story. Back to the grindstone.
Other than that, not much is really new. Just enjoying life at the moment and wanting to get back into what I have started. I guess time will only tell what is going to happen for truth. Bye for now!

Day 368 - session
Hmmm, I have certainly been a bad girl. Not in the way of working out, but, in the way of keeping up with the blog. In thirteen days all of the blogs will be at an end. I shall miss doing them but, at the same time, it will be a relief. I may continue to do what I am doing and only post on session days and weigh in. At least until the sessions are over. After that, I will consider my journey complete and carry onwards on my own.
Today's session was really good considering the fact that I haven't had one in 3 weeks. I once again started off on the treadmill but, this time I wound up going for 15 min on a 3.0 speed. I got off and wiped down the machine and went on my way to the washroom while I waited for Jeremy . As I came over to Jeremy's desk he was ready to go and the first thing he had me do was squats on a bench. Yay!
I did about 12 of these and then I had to do 12 rows on the TRX rope and about 12 reverse lunges as well. I was told to get a drink and rest for a minute and then repeated all three. I rested once more and then started all three once more except for this time, he had me holding a heavy weight while doing the squats.
From there I got to rest and then I had to do 10 sumo squats with a 25 lb kettlebell and then I had to do 12 row pulls on each arm with the pulley rope and the stairs twice. SURPRISE! I never would have guessed that I would be doing the stairs today! I did this two more times and the last 2 times that I went down the stairs I had to take them 2 at a time.
When I got upstairs the last time around, I then had to do stretches and then away I was sent. We set up another session for next Wednesday, which is my birthday, and I was promised that I would be doing quite a bit of core on that day. My homework is to do 4 hours of cardio, stretches every day and I was told that I must take 1 day for myself.
I find this very funny because, I don't have a lot of time for myself. But, I will try my best to do that. I highly doubt it though as the month of July is going to be very, very busy! Anyhow, I don't really have much more to say tonight, Sunday I am hoping to have a fantastic weigh in for everyone to see!
Chow for now!

Day 364 - Weigh in
Considering the fact that I just got off of a 10 day stretch of work, and how tired I was this week, it seems that the amount of time I spent at the gym was fairly good. I spent a great deal of time just trying to get as much exercise as I could in this week because I knew that I wasn't able to get to the gym and do the workouts that I wanted. So, for the most part, I just spent more time walking home from work, to work and incorporating some of the gym time in there.
Today is my day off from work and I am not going to sugar coat anything. I am bloody well exhausted. With all of the added energy of dealing with the car stuff, and work, and exercise, I have decided that my day off, is my day off. I am not going to the gym today, and I am just going to get some stuff done around the house that needs to be done.
Last night I went to bed fairly early, 6:30pm to be exacty, and then as I woke up this morning at 7am, I felt kind of refreshed, but at the same time, just tired still. So I came downstairs to complete the weigh in. I turned on the wii and I was completely amazed at the results. Apparently I had lost 4 lbs this week! If that is true, then my goal of 15 lbs by July 20th will be acheived and then some!
So, I am now at a total weight loss of 92 lbs, and I am now at 178lbs. I don't even remember the last time I weighed this but, I can honestly say that it feels so good! I am not sure as to how far I am going to go, or even how far I should go, but I will I guess have to see what happens and when to stop when I get there.
It looks like I won't actually be receiving my car until tomorrow morning. I have to work at 11:30am so it is definitely going to be a rush rush job. But, at least it will finally be over with and Grandma can relax. She has gotten herself all wound up with all of this business because she is just as excited as I am and she wants to make sure that I am happy. I love her so much for her big heart but, at the same time, she is sick and she should be taking it easy!
There are still 17 days left for the blog until I have officially been at this for a year. I may just carry them on until the following Sunday just to have a final weigh in post for everyone. I will miss doing the blogs but, to be honest, it will be a relief to not do them as well. Sometimes I just don't feel like sitting here writing anything at all and sometimes it feels more like either an obligation or a chore to do it. I will be quite happy to be able to state a weekly weigh in through facebook for all of my friends and family to see.
Tomorrow I will be heading to the gym after work as I will be parking at the gym anyways before so that I am sure to have somewhere close by to park. I will hopefully have the blog up at about 9pm with a couple pictures of the car for everyone to see. Hopefully I can get a couple pictures taken with my grandma as she is the one that actually got it for me and I want to be able to show her as well as our excitement off! :)

Day 362
I know, it has been a few days once again. I have been very negligent in the area of the blog and I should have been getting them done every day. On Tuesday, I did go to the gym in the morning before work. I did the treadmill for 30 min and then walked to the lrt and on the way home, walked home. So for Tuesday, I did a total of about an hour of exercise. I also received some good news on Tuesday. Grandma had finally received a call from the guy that was finding me a car and apparently it was ready to go! How exciting! At that time I found out that it was a 2007 Dodge Caliber but I didn't have much more information for that other than the fact that Grandma needed a bunch of information from me.
On Wednesday morning I received a fax at the gym from the insurance company and I did my 30 min workout while I waited and then when I went to receive the fax, Jeremy was downstairs. I had no choice but to talk to him. So, we worked everything out and set up a session for next Thursday at 11am. I am unsure as to how that will go but, time will only tell.
Yesterday I did not get to the gym. I had to go to work at Esso for 9:30 and then after work, I went out to Leduc to sign some paperwork for the car as the registration office would not release the registration to Grandma without a proper letter of authorization. So, by the time I got home, it was almost 9pm and I just wanted to go to bed.
This morning I again went to the gym before work and I can go into a little bit more detail here because I can actually remember what I did there. I did the treadmill for half an hour alternating the speed on a 2.5 or higher incline between 3 and up to a speed of 3.6. I wound up burning 209 calories in that half an hour, walked across the parking lot to get my Timmie's coffee and then away I went to work.
I work at Epcor tomorrow morning at 8:00am so I do have to be up at 4:45 in order to be able to function at 8 and therefore I will be going to bed here shortly. I have not done any of my stretching in the last week other than once on the weekend and I'm still feeling pretty good with the back issues but, I will be doing the stretches and getting alot better with the exercise next week as my schedule clears up just a little bit. Other than that, hopefully tomorrow I have my car parked outside my house, sure would be nice :)
So even though I had been to the gym quite a bit this week, I am sorry to have such a small blog for the day but, as I said, next week will be much better as I won't be working quite so much. Have a great weekend everyone!
