Today I have been feeling alot better than I have in the last week. I am still sick, and therefore, Friday I had cancelled my session with Jeremy for today. I thought that maybe, just maybe I would be able to get myself into the gym and get some kind of a workout in. It turns out that it didn't happen at all. I am still very much sick, although I do have most of my voice back and I am feeling better other than the coughing, I decided to keep my promise to myself and not push it.
I haven't been too faithful with the stretching either. When you are trying to stretch and break out in a coughing fit, it kind of defeats the purpose. So, stretching has not been done either. I spent most of the day at home, relaxing in my chair, or up in my room, and later on in the evening I gave Sara a ride home from work. All in all, it was a satisfactory day off even though the gym was not involved in it.
I have been doing alot of thinking lately. Mainly I have been doing some thinking about some life choices that I have to make. Not because I want to, but because I have to. I will go further into detail about that when I have more answers myself. Also, while I have been off from the gym for almost a week due to being sick, I have felt really upset and disappointed in myself. I know that I can't help being sick, but at the same time, I pushed myself too hard from the sickness the week before and that is why I wound up being worse this time around. I am frustrated in myself because I let it happen and didn't take care of myself the way that I should have and now that is 2 weeks that I need to make up in order to win that contest and I am not sure if I can now or not.
I am not giving up though, I am sure going to try and hopefully it will work. I am trying to stay on the positive side of life and it is really hard to do lately. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things soon as I have been slipping a little bit lately. Even though I have been slipping though, I have managed to maintain my current weight loss, so I must be doing something right. :)
I talked to my dad's girlfriend Christine tonight, and that is what set me off on this blog entry. I really miss my dad alot. I know that some would wonder why I do, and I honestly really don't care what they think. He is my father and I love him. He has been especially supportive in this weight loss more than I can say he has ever been in my whole life. I really wish that I hadn't been so stupid and lost that bloody car of mine but, it is a lesson learned and I guess I have to work that much harder to get another one. I asked Jeremy for some information about where he had purchased his vehicle and he said for me to go to the same dealership that he went to as he has a friend that works there and if I give his friend Jeremy's name, I should be able to get a deal. I am not sure if I will go that route, but I still have a month or two to decide. All I know is that it is killing me to not be able to see my family when I want, especially those that are further away, just because of the fact that I haven't seen them in so long.
Anyways, I still have my head held high, I am very grateful to have those around me that are close by and constantly helping to keep me motivated and I am also grateful to just be alive and able to move, even if it does hurt.
Tomorrow is a new day, and I do have to get myself into the gym. I will not be doing any high intensity stuff tomorrow, just some low intensity to say that I have done something. Maybe I will try a little bit of weight lifting tomorrow, or do an easy setting on the eliptical for awhile in the ladies only room. I guess I will have to see how I feel in the morning.

Day 195
Another day done at the gym and still another day with no voice. This is getting ridiculous. My legs are still a little bit sore today, having a hard time going up and down the stairs but, they seem to be getting better as I go along.
This wont be a long drawn out blog today as I am really not feeling up to writing. I got to the gym hoping to not see Jeremy today. I am a little bit annoyed with how my legs and butt have been feeling the last couple days and I also really didn't want to talk much considering the fact that I knew he would probably laugh at me for having no voice.
I got on the treadmill and did half an hour at a 2.4 speed and 0 incline and then every 5 min bumped up the speed a little bit. I finished off at a 3 speed and 2.5 incline for another 15 min. In total I wound up doing 45 min. I had heard Jeremy being called to the reception desk and I had thought he wasn't there. When I turned around to get off of the treadmill sure enough he was on his way down the stairs. I went into the change room, got my stuff and hoped to be gone before he could see me. Darn it, I didn't make it. I was right in the fact that he was laughing at me for having no voice and I continued on my way over to Timmie's for coffee. As I was waiting for my cab, once again he came by and laughed at me some more. Sometimes that man just gets under my skin!
Oh well. I wasn't able to complete my 2 hour workout today. Unfortunately my body is just way too tender and maybe tomorrow will be another story. I will have to see how the night goes at work today.

Day 194
Again I woke up with a sore throat and no voice. I'm not sure what is going on, I feel fine, just no voice. As the day went on it slowly started to come back but as I am sitting here writing this, it has started to fail me once again. I am getting a little annoyed with it, but what do you do? Oh well.
I got up at 6:30 this morning to give Jan a ride to the LRT. I was hoping to go to the gym early and get a 2 hour workout done. However, I gave her a ride, stopped for coffee and Timmie's and came home. I maybe drank not even a quarter of my coffee and wound up throwing the rest out and going back to bed until 11am. Once I woke up the second time, I called my buddy Cassandra and made arrangements for the day. I went and picked her up at around 12pm, we grabbed a couple coffee and headed back here to the house. I made breakfast for the two of us and we had a very nice visit. I missed talking and visiting with her. Before I gave her a ride home, I did my stretches, even though my butt and my legs hurt so much from yesterday's workout.
I had figured out that I probably did about 100 squats yesterday and 50 pushups, which explains why I was so tender today. But, it is all worth it in the end. Cassandra and I left at about 3:30, picked up Jan from the LRT and then I drove Cassandra home and came home. At 6:30 I decided that I should probably get to the gym to get my workout done.
I pulled into the parking lot and circled the building twice to find absolutely zero parking spots! Man it was busy! On my second venture around the building, I received a text messsage from Jeremy. He had finally sent me the picture of himself that I will eventually be posting on here. Not too sure if I want to share it though.
I decided that since it was so busy at the gym, I would go over to Tim Horton's again for a coffee. I sat there for a half an hour and wandered over once more. This time I was lucky enough to get a spot and I pulled into it quickly. I finished my coffee and headed inside.
My intent was to be at the gym for a total of 2 hours today. I wasn't planning on doing too much intensity as I was pretty sore and I thought that maybe I would just take it a little easier today. I managed to do a half an hour on the treadmill with an incline of 2.5 and the speed at 2.4. I only burned about 200 calories, if that, and opted to go home. Usually if it is that busy in the gym, they say that you are only allowed to use a machine for 30 min max so others have a chance to use it. Since I wasn't up to doing any of the other machines, I decided to leave.
Tomorrow if my legs are good, I will be going back the gym and doing my 2 hour workout at that time. We will have to see what happens. Anyways, for those of you that have requested for me to post the picture of Jeremy, I am posting it now. This way you have a face to the name, and also those of you that are coming to my party in July, you will get a chance to meet him as well. I am very happy that he is such a nice guy and I have been lucky to have someone like him helping me in my journey! :)
Thanks to you Jeremy!!! You da best!

Day 193 - Session
My day started off with a sore throat and coughing and has progressed a little bit more. However, I did go to my session, and now I am feeling ok body wise, still having the cough though. I don't know what is wrong really, I have been very proud of the accomplishments that I have made so far but, I am still feeling pretty... what's the right word here... disappointed, frustrated maybe a little bit with myself.
Unfortunately there is nothing that anyone can say to me to help me out with this, it's just something I have to figure out on my own. I feel like my body isn't good and that I can't do some things that Jeremy asks me to do without having to stop and rest for a couple of seconds. For this reason I am so angry with myself and just wish that I would be good, just for once, no pain, no issues. It is getting ridiculous and I feel like I am failing. I see the results, yes, but I want to FEEL results.
Enough wallowing, on to the session. We started off downstairs doing squats with a 20lb barbell almost hitting the floor and then raising it up above the head 12 times, then we went over to a different piece of equipment to use a bar and do 10 pushups and 10 body rows. I had to repeat the squats another 40 times and then back over to do pushups and rows. One more time with the pushups and then I had to do 12 squats with a 30lb barbell.
We then went upstairs where I had to do 12 pushups, do the squats with a 16lb medicine ball, raise it above the head and then drop it on the floor 15 times and the stairs 2 times. Repeated this 2 more times and then we worked on some balance.
For this Jeremy said that we were going to do the plank on the exercise ball. He reminded me that I told him I would do it and I said yes I would. I always tell him the way it is, and follow through on my word. It did take me a couple of minutes to figure out how to do it. I am not a very smart person when it comes to figuring out how to work my body to get myself up into some of the positions but, I did it. I then had to do 12 rowing pulls on the TRX ropes, and then back to do balancing squats on top of the Bosu ball. I went and did the stairs 2 more times and then repeated everything.
Finally, he had me finish my session by doing a few stretches of my choice and then we met over at the Tim Hortons and I got us a coffee each. Jeremy had asked me throughout the session what I did this weekend and I had told him that I went to the farmer's market on Saturday with Sara and her mom. He then asked me if I bought "magic beans". It took me a second to figure out what he was talking about but, we both started laughing and I just had to shake my head at him. Where he comes up with these things I don't know. But it was funny. He then went on to tell me the story about Jack and the Beanstalk and I just couldn't do anything but laugh. Sometimes that boy is just strange!
Considering the fact that I have been saving all of my change in the last few weeks I have managed to save almost 200 dollars, so I have made a decision that hopefully by next month, maybe, I will be buying my own car. I hope it works out that way but I will have to see what happens and how much I can save by then. I still have one more paycheck in January and the first one in February is basically a free cheque. So maybe, it will happen.
Jeremy and I have set up a session for next Monday at 10 again, however, I have been thinking about it and I may cancel that appointment for next week. I am not a hundred percent sure if I am wanting to do it or even be around anyone. Right at this moment, I just want to go away for a few days. I believe I need some time off away from people, and just be by myself to sort out my issues. I will see how I feel later on the week before I make the final decision though.
My homework is to do 1 hour and 10 min of cardio for the next 5 days, which I have plans to blow that right out of the water and of course, stretches daily, wether or not I go into the gym. Again, I have plans to go over and above that and get in some strength training as well. I am hoping that I will be able to be in really good shape for my next session and not have to stop every couple of minutes. I will be heading to the gym tomorrow for a couple of hours considering the fact that I am off from work.

Day 192 - Weigh in
I am in a fairly decent mood today. Although I didn't sleep well and didn't even get to bed until around 3 this morning, I was still up at 9:30 and ready to head for the gym at 11. So I jumped in the car and headed over but, when I got there, there was absolutely no parking at all. I circled the parking lot and couldn't find one. So, I had no choice, and had to head home. Well that kind of sucked.
After the last 2 nights at work, yesterday and today I was barely able to make it out of bed and onto my feet. So I didn't and wasn't able to do much in the way of cardio. However, I did do my stretches last night before bed, and today I wound up doing my stretches, and I also held the plank for almost a minute which is pretty impressive for me. Normally the small of my back gives up on me and hurts pretty bad so I have to let go and lower myself down.
There really isn't much to say today, I haven't really been up to much and I actually wound up straying off of the diet for one night last night. I really had a craving for a filet of fish and I figured that instead of denying myself the taste, I should just have it. So I did, and quite honestly, I regretted it when I did. It wasn't half as good as I thought it was going to be. At least I know that my tastes and preferences have changed substantially.
Because my feet were in such rough shape this morning I wound up not doing the weigh in this morning. it was too hard to be going up and down the stairs this morning so I am going with the weigh in that I did yesterday. Once it comes closer to Sunday I usually weigh myself Friday and Saturday just to see if it is the same for Sunday and usually it is. I weighed in at 210 lbs yesterday which makes the total weight loss of 54 lbs.
Considering the fact that I have my next session with Jeremy tomorrow morning at 10, I will be kick starting the 7 day a week rule to go to the gym tomorrow. Tuesday I am off from both jobs and I am hoping to not only spend one hour, but hopefully 2 there. This way I can kind of get myself back into a good routine and pretty much get my shit together.
Happy Sunday everyone and I shall post tomorrow before I head off to work!

Day 190
Today is another new day for me, I have made a few decisions, and I also have done something that I consider to be very brave. I am not a very forward person when it comes to asking a favor from a guy, especially when that guy is my trainer. There are some things that I can say to Jeremy and some things are left unsaid. However, I did it and it actually turned out pretty good. I have decided to have a final reveal, in July, when I have reached my goal of 185. I have a funny suspicion though that I will be reaching this goal way sooner than July.
I started out the day by sleeping in this morning. I had wanted to get up a little earlier this morning due to the fact that I wanted to have at least a few hours to relax and get my stretches done before work. It seems like I am just not meant to be doing what I want in the mornings lol.
Anyhow, I woke up at 9:30, went to the bathroom and crawled back into bed. I sure didn't sleep very good last night and I just wanted to sleep some more. The phone wound up ringing at 9:45 and when I answered it, Sara was on the other end. Thank god for her because I would be just crawling out of bed now.
I got off the phone with her, jumped in the shower and called my cab for the gym. I decided to stop and have a coffee and some breakfast at Timmie's (of course) before I went over and spend the next hour there. I was just getting up and about to head out the door when Jeremy walked in to get his coffee. This is where I asked him the dreaded questions that I did. We started walking back to the gym together and I first asked him if he would come to the reveal in July. With him being my biggest motivator and supporter, I thought it would be fitting if he was there. He right away said that he would for sure come and that he had done something like this before for another client. For me, I want him there because he has helped me so much in so many aspects in my life and I want to share in my happiness with him. :)
There have been a few people, who have been bugging me to get a picture of the fabled Jeremy and put it up in the blog. So, my next question to him was if I could have a picture of him so that I could put it up on the blog and put a face to the name for some of you. He chuckled and said that he would send me one but there are stipulations. He said "But I don't want all of these women to be flocking to the gym to awe over me." LOL I told him that it wouldn't happen so all of you single ladies out there that think he's gorgeous, please respect his wishes lol.
Anyways, I started on the treadmill and did that for 10 min on a 2.9 speed and a 6.5 incline and then had to go to the bathroom. On the way back from the washroom, I stopped at Jeremy's desk and asked him if on Monday we could work on my balance. Francois was there and he answered for Jeremy and said that of course we could. I love the trainers there, they are all awesome and I am starting to know basically all of them a lot better than I had. So far, Jeremy and Francois are my favorites of course :)
I went back to the treadmill and did another 30 min ranging speeds from 2.5 - 3.5 and keeping the incline at 6.5 or 4.5. No lower. I wound up burning 300 calories in 45 min and to me, it was a pretty good workout. I am now going to be doing my stretches before work, as well as the plank and ab crunches yet again. Maybe some pushups will be put into play but I doubt it. Tomorrow I am going to try and hit the gym fairly early as Jan and I are meeting up with Sara at the farmer's market for a bit. And I have to get to the gym so that I don't lose the momentum. All of you have seen the pictures already for the progress but I am posting them in here as well :)
Have a great day everyone!

Day 189
So the last couple days have not been fun at all. I was really not feeling good and the fact that I had to take an extra day off from work didn't really put me in good spirits. However, today is a new day and I am feeling pretty darn good! I was awake at 5:30am, ready to head out the door to give Jan a ride to the LRT by 7 and wound up making it to the gym for 11am. Not a bad start to the day.
When I got there, Jeremy was sitting at his desk and because I wasn't really paying attention he had to call my name to get my focus. He then gave me my homework for the next few days and let me know that since I was so sick this week he didn't want to give me any homework because he wasn't sure how I would be feeling and didn't want me to overdo it. Boy he doesn't know me at all does he? LOL
Once I finished talking with him I jumped on the treadmill and did a 2.9 on a 6.5 incline for 10 min and then bumped the speed up to a 3.2 and gradually increasing it to a 3.4 speed. I didn't really want to push too hard as it was my first day back after a couple days and I wasn't really sure if I would be able to handle anything more than that. So I finished off a half an hour, went to the bathroom and got back on the treadmill for another half an hour at a 2 speed and a much lower incline. My homework is supposed to be 45 min cardio every day and stretches as well. Not too bad, I would think. :)
After my session at the gym I decided to go over to walmart and see if I could pick up a small personal heater for my room because it is always so cold in here and I am so tired of freezing to death at night. I also picked up the stuff that I needed to make my chilli for supper, and it sure sounds better every time I think about it. I can't wait to eat tonight!
I do have a couple pictures that I have taken but, I wont be posting them until tomorrow because I want to see if Jan will take a full body photo. I really am hoping to get going full force once again on this weight loss. I have decided that I will be going to the gym every day until this contest is over because I want to make sure that I can do as much as I possibly can to win. Anyways, next session is on Monday at 10am. Jeremy will probably kick my butt yet again, but, I am ready for it! :)

Day 186 - Session/Weigh in
Today's blog is hopefully not going to be as drawn out as normal. I am just gonna get to the point because I'm really not feeling good today. I've been feeling sick since yesterday, actually I noticed when I got up this morning that I was looking a little pale and quite honestly I didn't think that I was going to be able to make it to my session. However, I bucked up and went in anyways.
I did my 5 min warmup on the treadmill, Jeremy came over to get me and we got started right away. First he had me doing 12 trunk rotations on each arm and then 12 step ups on each leg. Had a quick drink and then repeated. Once that was done I had to do the stairs once, and then 15 bicep curls with the 10lb dumbells, one arm rowing extensions 12 times and then stairs once. Repeated once more and then it was bicep curls 15 times, sitting on the bench and bench pressing the dumbells 12 times and then stairs. Repeated once and then it was onto the floor to do stretching and then bicep curls, bench press and stairs one last time.
I had asked Jeremy if I was still able to sign up for the competition today and so we did that for the last 15 min of our session. My current weight is, 214, I have now lost 50lbs to date! That's exciting! And it turns out that when you sign up for the contest, the day that you sign up is your start day and so therefore, this contest is started. My end date is April 9, so I really hope I can win! The only thing that sucks is that I have been feeling sick the last couple of days and with today being the worst of it, who knows how I'm gonna feel tomorrow. Oh well. Here's hoping I can do it....
I am not sure when my next session is, or what my homework is. I forgot to ask Jeremy and I am again waiting for him to send me a text to let me know. Hopefully this time he will get back to me before 3 days from now lol.

Day 183
From the beginning it has not been a very great day. I woke up, looked at the time and immediately followed with a frown. I have no idea what is wrong with me today. I honestly think that it is because I have gone down to the 1 sessions a week and I am going through some kind of withdrawal, whish is stupid because I have seen Jeremy more this week than I have in the last 6 months. It is completely ridiculous.
So anyways, I had my shower, my breakfast, started my I then started to bring up the speed once more and finished my last min at the 13 incline and 3.2 speed. I hit the cool down and for 30 min I wound up burning 302 cal. Not so bad. At this point I was still pretty angry still and thought that maybe I should just come home. I know that tomorrow I am off and I will be able to go for a bit either first thing in the morning or even in the afternoon when Jan and I get home from lunch. If things are right from the last couple days, I should have fairly exciting news to share on Sunday for weigh in. I am really excited and a little on the shocked side but, we will all have to see what happens!

Day 182
What a slow start to the day today. I was up at 8:30 this morning, came and had breakfast, drank half of my coffee and wound up falling asleep in the chair for a couple of hours. Finally at 11 I got my ass moving and had my shower, got my laundry started and was ready to hit the gym by 1215.
I got on the treadmill right away and started myself off at a 2.9 speed again and stayed there for 5 min. I didn't want to push too hard this time because when I pushed myself hard yesterday I wound up hurting my leg and didn't want the same thing to happen today. At the 5 min mark I increased the incline to a 1 and increased the speed to a 3.3. I carried on for another 2 min and then reduced the speed again to a 2.9 and increased the incline to a 2. Every min after that I slowly increased the incline by .5 and left it on a 6.5. I finished off at a 3.3 speed and the 6.5 incline for 3 min and then did my 5 min cooldown totalling half an hour on the treadmill. From there I went over to the ladies only room and only did 8 min on the eliptical because I just wasn't feeling up to even being there today and just wanted to come home. At least I did something today.
I am now going to do my ab crunches plank and stretching as I only have 45 min before I have to leave for work. I am also planning on doing some R & R for my feet before I start my walk. Hopefully I won't be late as I still have to get my lunch made as well. Tomorrow and Saturday should be a better day for working out because I will have gotten the rest that I need tonight. That and the fact that I am off from both jobs on Saturday so I should be able to do the gym for at least a couple of hours. I need to get myself prepared to lose this weight because Jeremy and I are getting me signed up on Monday for the contest! EEEK! Scared and excited, all at the same time!

Day 181
This morning was very stressful and hectic for about an hour today. I woke up at 8:30, had my breakfast, which consisted of 2 1/2 tablespoons of activia yogurt and a piece of toast with a slice of cheese, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, and an egg on it. It was of course yummy and then I proceeded to go upstairs and have my shower. As I was getting out of the shower the phone rang, so I ran to go get it and it was a bill collector. I asked him to call back in 5 min, turned around to go get dressed, looked out the window and there was someone here to pick an item up for Jan. I heard the doorbell, ran over to the window, yelled at him to hang on a minute and quickly got dressed. I ran downstairs, dealt with him, was just coming inside when the phone was ringing again. Dealt with the bill collector, went back upstairs, and finished getting ready for the gym. Sheesh! I hate being that busy when I'm not fully awake in the morning!
I figured since I still had some time that I would stop for a coffee before I hit the gym. I was sitting there minding my own business and all of a sudden the door opened and there was Jeremy. He went and got himself a coffee and sat down with me for a few minutes. It was then that I told him that I would be entering the contest because of the fact that I had bought new shoes and insoles for my work shoes and that my feet really don't hurt all that much. Of course, he was very excited and happy to hear that and the proceeded to tell me that I don't need to wear a sports bra if I am uncomfortable doing that but, that I could wear a tighter fitting shirt if I wanted. That to me was satisfactory and with my feet hopefully on the mend, I am starting to think that maybe I can do it.
We said our goodbyes, and I finished my coffee as he went back to work and then I headed over myself. I started off on the treadmill at a 4.5 incline and a 2.9 speed. I was feeling pretty good so after a min I increased the speed to a 3.2. I dropped it back down to a 2.9 for a min and then back up to a 3.3. Each minute I either increased or decreased the min as per what Jeremy had requested. 17 min in my right leg started to get a little sore in the hamstrings so I had to cool it for about 5 min to get to a more comfortable state. So I decreased the incline to a 2.5 and the speed down to a 2.5. At 30 min I started again slowly increasing the speed each min and wound up hitting a 3.7 for a min. My highest so far! I burned 361 cal in the 45 min that I was on the treadmill and decided that maybe I should try something else. My feet were starting to feel a little sore so I wanted to take it easy.
I went into the ladies only room and jumped on the eliptical and for the first min I was on a level one, second, level 4, and slowly increasing to a level 7. I carried on for 10 min not letting my speed go any lower than a 4 and called it a day. I wound up burning an additional 100 cal there and for me, as of lately, almost 500 cal was really good!
Now that I am home, before work I will again be doing my stretching. I will also be rolling the ball on the feet to make sure that I am in really good shape for work again tonight and then hopefully I am going to attempt the plank for at least a min this time and some ab crunches. I might even throw some pushups in there. Tomorrow I will be hopefully going over to the gym a little earlier as I want to be able to stop at the store for a couple of items for my lunch before I come home. Not to mention the fact that I want to try and get myself to a point where I can push just a little bit harder next week to start pouring the weight off and win that damn contest! :)

Day 180
This morning I woke up to more pain in the feet and I thought that maybe I would be able to suck it up and go to the gym anyways. As I kept moving around the house, I noticed that it still wasn't letting up. Jeremy had mentioned to me yesterday that I should maybe think about going to the Running Room and picking up a pair of shoes with more stability. So as I was sitting here in pain I went to go and get ready for the gym, I figured since Jan was home from work, I would borrow the car to go to the gym. But then I thought, I still have some money left over from my cheque, so I'm going to go and shop around for shoes.
I went into the Running Room and the clerk was very helpful for me. I wound up trying on a few pairs and the very first one I put on, I stood up in them and it was instant relief! I couldn't believe that I was able to walk around and not have any pain at all! Amazing! The clerk had also suggested that I go to Costco and get a pair of the orthopedic insoles for my other shoes, that they may help.
So, I purchased my shoes, bought an acuball to roll under my feet, and headed on to Costco. I bought the insoles that I was recommended to buy and came home. I was so excited to try them out so I put them in my boots that I usually wear for work. NO PAIN!!!! Since there are 2 pairs I have decided to put one in my boots and use the other pair to put into my gym shoes for my sessions so that I have no issues at all when I go to do my workouts. I am hoping that it will help to resolve the problem and if by Friday, I still have no problems, I will be entering the contest at the gym.
I am going to do my stretching before I go to work, so that I am able to completely finish a shift without any pain at all. If it works. But tomorrow I will be going to the gym for my full hour session on the treadmill either in the morning or by 11:30 at the latest. I hope everything works out, I really want that 10 grand! :)

Day 179 - Session, weigh in
Another day, another session. I was hoping to get up a little earlier today to be ready for my session but, as I got out of bed at 7:30am and went in to the bathroom to go have my shower I realized that maybe I should just go back to bed for another hour. My feet are so friggin sore and I just don't know how I'm going to manage with them. I have plans next weekend to go and get yet another pair of new shoes that will hopefully help me out with my feet while I'm at work. Quite honestly I don't think it will help much, but I have to try something. This is getting ridiculous.
If I could get away with it I would take 2 or 3 weeks off of work and just stay home. My doctor had recomended it to me awhile back but, I just can't afford to do it. I will just have to somehow put up with it and try to get passed it.
I got to the gym and wound up not having anything for breakfast, didn't even get my coffee in this morning so, I really wasn't feeling up to working out. However, I changed my shoes, got upstairs and on the treadmill and did my warm up, sore feet and all. Usually I can manage about a 2.6 or higher right off the bat. Today I started off at a 2 and just took it a little easier. Jeremy came over to get me and we started of doing 10 pushups, the plank, 25 ab crunches, 10 more pushups, and then a 3 min sprint on the bike on a level 12 before I was able to take a 20 second break. We repeated this circuit and then I was able to rest for a minute. I repeated everything a 3rd time with the exeption of the bike and then we made our way downstairs.
Here I had to do 10 seated dips, which works on the triceps and then get into a lunge like stance and do 10 bicep curls with 10 lb dumbells on each leg and then up and down the stairs 2 times. We repeated this again and pretty much that was it. Even though there wasn't much variety in what we were doing it was still a pretty good workout. I vented my frustrations from the weekend, he asked me once again about the contest and I told him that I still needed to think about it a little more but that I would let him know by the end of the week.
My homework for the next week is to do 5 hours of cardio, and stretches every day. I asked him for specific cardio instructions as he doesn't seem to think that going for a walk counts and he told me that as long as I do interval cardio on the treadmill or the eliptical it was fine. Our next session is next Monday at 10am and then on Tuesday I will be making a bold move when I get paid. I have decided that rather than drag out the payments for the first sessions that I have been paying for, I will be paying the first sessions off completely. This will help in the long run because then I can afford to start putting more money away for a new vehicle. I am so sick of depending on other people to get me from a to b.
I did weigh in yesterday morning but as I have been in pain all weekend, I didn't feel the need to do a blog for just a weigh in. I was really happy with the results, still am and I am hoping that even though I wasn't able to get into the gym on the weekend I will be able to pull off some decent numbers next weekend. Anyways, on to the numbers. I weighed in at 216lbs, which is so far a total weight loss of 48 lbs. I wound up losing 3 lbs last week! Yay!
I will be going to the gym once again tomorrow, in the morning this time because it's too hard to go to work right after a workout and stand on my feet for 8 hours. I also plan to do my stretching when I get home from the gym because then I don't have to do it at 12am when I get home. I think that would be a much better idea! Blog will be up before I go to work at 2:30pm tomorrow.

Day 176 - Session
All I could think about today was coming home and going back to my bed. My feet are killing me, my back is just as sore, and I'm tired today. Plain and simple and straight to the point lol.
Today Jeremy had someone shadowing him again. Gotta love it when you have 2 men trying to help you out. We did a bunch of stationary weight lifting today which was nice for a change. Due to the fact that my feet were definitely up to par I was very thankful. So we did 12 rowing pulls on a different machine than normal, and then went over to to another one to do tricep and bicep pulls 12 times each and then 12 times with a 10 lb weight doing side step twists.
From there I had to do toe taps on the bench while holding the 10lb weight above my head and then repeat everything. Then I had to sit on this seat facing a machine, pull down 70lbs 12 times and then repeat everything again. I did this 2 more times and then we got down on the floor to do some stretches. We had a good session today, I am pretty sure my back is going to feel it tonight but, I am going to go to work and be merry. I can only do the best that I can. Jeremy presented me with an option to enter into a contest to win 10, 000 dollars. I am not sure if I want to do it. Basically the person that has the best body composition and the most weight loss will win. Who knows, I have until the end of January to decide. He also asked me if I wanted to go down to one day a week for our sessions as I only have 8 left. At the time I told him no, that I wanted to continue on with the two a week but, by the time I got home, I changed my mind. I am hoping that only 1 day a week will still keep me motivated enough to continue on and maybe for the first 4 weeks I will do one a week and then go down to 1 every 2 weeks. This way I still get my training that I may need and also, I can see for myself if I can continue on my own.
Anyways, I am going for a nap now, I am tired, and I will have more for you tomorrow. Hopefully Sunday will be a good weigh in! :)
Day 175
I can't believe it has been almost half a year already since I started out on this journey. I know, I say that every few months but, really? I usually give up a few days or a couple weeks into anything that I start. This is just awesome that I am just as dedicated now as I was day 1. I know that there have been a few moments where I have wanted to give up, however, it is only because of the fact that I am so tired of being in pain all of the time. I have come to accept that the pain will never fully go away. I may not like it, and I don't have to like it but, it is never going to be completely gone.
I almost thought at one point in my shift today that I didn't want to continue working at McDonalds. Not because I don't like it there, but that every night, I am in so much pain when I get home that it is almost unbearable. My feet hurt so bad right now that I don't even know if I am going to make it to my session. If I don't go to the session though, I won't feel any better and I know that. Sometimes in this life you have to make a choice, stick through it and just deal with the outcome. A person has to accept it.
This morning I woke up a little late, due to the fact that I didn't get to bed until late last night and I had a crappy sleep to start with. Once I finally managed to get sleeping good, it was time to get up. So I came downstairs, made myself my awesome breakfast of toast, turkey bacon, egg, cheese slice and a slice of tomato. Yum!
Once I finished, I talked to my grandma on the phone for about 10 min, Jan for 20 min and then jumped in the shower to get ready for the gym. My plan was to go to the gym, have my workout and then go to work straight after. Boy was that ever a stupid idea! Thank god my session is in the morning tomorrow.
I walked over to the Esso, grabbed a couple packs of smokes, my pay stub and headed on over to the gym. Once I got there I decided to get on the eliptical for 10 min at a level 6. I was hitting speeds of 4.7 and 4.8 which is something I have never done before. Wow, cool! From there, I decided to give my feet a little bit of a break and got on the bike and did that for 5 min. By this time I was sweating bullets and thought, well, maybe I will cool down a little on the treadmill for 30 min. Ya right. I varied my speed and incline and wound up hitting a 3.3 speed and 6.5 incline for 2 1/2 min. Again, something I haven't done before. I was feeling pretty good at this point and wanted to continue on but, I had to get my butt in gear and go to work.
I walked across the parking lot, went into the Esso, grabbed a large Timmie's coffee and was chatting with the girl behind the counter when I heard someone say "Krista, you are holding up the line!" I turned around and there was Jeremy smiling like a cheshire cat. What a little bugger. So, I talked to him for a couple min and then headed on my way to work. On my way to work, I saw someone walking down the street and she looked familiar but, with my eye sight, which is attrocious, I couldn't tell who it was until they were almost 2 feet away. It was one of my coworkers, Reetu. She was sent home due to the fact that it was really slow.
Needless to say, it was pretty neat because the last couple of days, I have been running into or seeing people at work that I normally wouldn't see. Jeremy was in to McDonald's twice yesterday, once just to say hi and the second time because he was hungry. Silly boy. I also saw two of my former co-workers from the other McDonald's, Mark and Mitchell. I love where I work!
So, now that it is 12:42am, I am going to finish drinking my coffee, attempt to do my stretches and core homework, and then get to bed. I have to be up in 6 hours to get ready for my session and those will probably take me until 1:30 or even 2 before I'm done. Sheesh! This kinda sucks! Good thing I am off on Saturday!
Since my session is at 10am, I will most likely be home by 12 at the latest and I will have my blog up shortly after that.

Day 174
So far it has been an ok day. I thought maybe yesterday I would get to the gym and get a workout in before work but, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my cheque until 3pm and I was unable to go. However, I did go today for a little bit. I went in at 12pm and wound up only staying for a half hour but in that half hour I accomplished a 3.2 speed on the treadmill and the incline was in between a 2.5 and 6.5 the whole time. As the sidewalks are so slippery I figured I would come home and try to chip off some of the ice that has built up on the driveway because it is like a skating rink out there! Going to the gym this morning just going from the side of the house to the front gate I slipped 5 times and almost fell. I have a feeling tomorrow I will be a little on the sore side.
Once I got home, I had my coffee and did a few of my stretches and wound up holding the plank for a few seconds. I didn't want to do too much because I still need to chip that ice. I finally found out that my session is for sure on Friday at 10am and that I finally received my homework from Jeremy which was to do 10 min of core today and tomorrow and 45 min of cardio tomorrow. And then he said to make sure I was ready for Friday which tells me that I may wind up being in a lot of pain Friday evening. Only because he kind of gave the evil chuckle after he said it. Oh boy, am I not looking forward to this one.
Tonight when I get home I will be doing some more stretches, the plank and I will be aiming for at least 150 ab crunches. Maybe I will throw in a few pushups in there as well, I'm not sure. It depends on how I feel when I get home.

Day 172 - Weigh in, Session
Thank goodness it's a new year! Now that the holidays are over and my schedule is a little bit more free I will be able to get the daily blogs up every day instead of every couple of days. On Saturday I was hoping to get to the gym before 6 and stay in bed until at least 4 or 5 and watch movies all day. That was the plan anyways. However, I made the mistake of coming downstairs and making myself a cup of coffee at 9am and sitting on the chair with my blanket for a few min after breakfast. And then the dreaded phone rang. It was my Aunt Cher and although I wanted to stay home, I realized that I wanted also to go out.
She asked me to come to her place and spend the night as her birthday is on the 1st and she wanted to play games and have a good time. So, she came and picked me up at 3pm and away we went with the stipulation that someone had to go for a walk with me later that evening so that I could get my cardio in. Stacey (my cousin) came with me at 8 pm and we went for an hour walk and then came back to have a contest to see who could do the plank the longest. Of course, she won. Only by a couple of seconds though :)
This morning I was up at 8:30 and really excited to go to my session today. Alot had happened on the weekend and I was hoping to hear about his weekend as well. So, I wound up being about 5 min late, yay me, and did a 5 min warm up on the treadmill and then he came to get me.
We started off doing 12 reverse lunges on the TRX ropes, and then 12 rowing pulls. Had a quick drink and then back into the reverse lunges and the pulling rows again. Once finished with that I had to do walking lunges from one side of the gym to the other and back and then do side lateral step outs while lifting weights 12 times on each side. We repeated these 2 exercises 2 more times and then I was lucky enough to do my favorite, the stairs! I had to carry the 7.5 lb dumbells down the stairs and up 2 times and then go down and up the stairs 2 more times without. By the time I got up the stairs the fourth time, Jeremy had informed me that my hour walk on Saturday didn't count towards my cardio homework and he thought that I should have come to the gym instead because it is higher intensity. What a guy!
I have news for that boy, let me tell you! Anyways, I don't know when my next session is, I believe it is Friday at 10am. Jeremy is supposed to be texting that info to me a little later today. He will also text me my homework because we were so busy talking about other things that we forgot to discuss the essentials.
My weigh in was not done yesterday as I was in Devon until 3pm so I figured I would weigh in today. I stepped on the scale and cringed because I didn't know how it was going to turn out with it being the Christmas holiday and all. I am at 219! 45lbs lost! Wow that feels good! I am very proud of myself and also very thankful for all of the support that I have from everyone and especially to Jeremy for being kind and patient with me, even when I am being extremly difficult. I only have 9 sessions left with him and I will not be renewing because I think I have spent enough money and I am pretty sure that I am able to get the last 40lbs off on my own. I just hope that Jeremy and I will be able to keep in touch and that we can be friends when it is all said and done. He is a huge motivator for me!
I will be heading to the gym every day this week, so the posts will still be coming. I hope everyone had a fantastic new year!
