Day 368 - session

Hmmm, I have  certainly been a bad girl.  Not in the way of working out, but, in the way of keeping up with the blog.  In thirteen days all of the blogs will be at an end.  I shall miss doing them but, at the same time, it will be a relief.  I may continue to do what I am doing and only post on session days and weigh in.  At least until the sessions are over.  After that, I will consider my journey complete and carry onwards on my own.

Today's session was really good considering the fact that I haven't had one in 3 weeks.  I once again started off on the treadmill but, this time I wound up going for 15 min on a 3.0 speed.  I got off and wiped down the machine and went on my way to the washroom while I waited for Jeremy .  As I came over to Jeremy's desk he was ready to go and the first thing he had me do was squats on a bench.  Yay!

I did about 12 of these and then I had to do 12 rows on the TRX rope and about 12 reverse lunges as well.  I was told to get a drink and rest for a minute and then repeated all three.  I rested once more and then started all three once more except for this time, he had me holding a heavy weight while doing the squats.

From there I got to rest and then I had to do 10 sumo squats with a 25 lb kettlebell and then I had to do 12 row pulls on each arm with the pulley rope and the stairs twice.  SURPRISE!  I never would have guessed that I would be doing the stairs today!  I did this two more times and the last 2 times that I went down the stairs I had to take them 2 at a time.

When I got upstairs the last time around, I then had to do stretches and then away I was sent.  We set up another session for next Wednesday, which is my birthday, and I was promised that I would be doing quite a bit of core on that day.  My homework is to do 4 hours of cardio, stretches every day and I was told that I must take 1 day for myself.

I find this very funny because, I don't have a lot of time for myself.  But, I will try my best to do that.  I highly doubt it though as the month of July is going to be very, very busy!  Anyhow, I don't really have much more to say tonight, Sunday I am hoping to have a fantastic weigh in for everyone to see!

Chow for now!

Day 364 - Weigh in

Considering the fact that I just got off of a 10 day stretch of work, and how tired I was this week, it seems that the amount of time I spent at the gym was fairly good.  I spent a great deal of time just trying to get as much exercise as I could in this week because I knew that I wasn't able to get to the gym and do the workouts that I wanted.  So, for the most part, I just spent more time walking home from work, to work and incorporating some of the gym time in there.

Today is my day off from work and I am not going to sugar coat anything.  I am bloody well exhausted.  With all of the added energy of dealing with the car stuff, and work, and exercise, I have decided that my day off, is my day off.  I am not going to the gym today, and I am just going to get some stuff done around the house that needs to be done.

Last night I went to bed fairly early, 6:30pm to be exacty, and then as I woke up this morning at 7am, I felt kind of refreshed, but at the same time, just tired still.  So I came downstairs to complete the weigh in.  I turned on the wii and I was completely amazed at the results.  Apparently I had lost 4 lbs this week!  If that is true, then my goal of 15 lbs by July 20th will be acheived and then some!

So, I am now at a total weight loss of 92 lbs, and I am now at 178lbs.  I don't even remember the last time I weighed this but, I can honestly say that it feels so good!  I am not sure as to how far I am going to go, or even how far I should go, but I will I guess have to see what happens and when to stop when I get there.

It looks like I won't actually be receiving my car until tomorrow morning.  I have to work at 11:30am so it is definitely going to be a rush rush job.  But, at least it will finally be over with and Grandma can relax.  She has gotten herself all wound up with all of this business because she is just as excited as I am and she wants to make sure that I am happy.  I love her so much for her big heart but, at the same time, she is sick and she should be taking it easy!

There are still 17 days left for the blog until I have officially been at this for a year.  I may just carry them on until the following Sunday just to have a final weigh in post for everyone.  I will miss doing the blogs but, to be honest, it will be a relief to not do them as well.  Sometimes I just don't feel like sitting here writing anything at all and sometimes it feels more like either an obligation or a chore to do it.  I will be quite happy to be able to state a weekly weigh in through facebook for all of my friends and family to see.

Tomorrow I will be heading to the gym after work as I will be parking at the gym anyways before so that I am sure to have somewhere close by to park.  I will hopefully have the blog up at about 9pm with a couple pictures of the car for everyone to see.  Hopefully I can get a couple pictures taken with my grandma as she is the one that actually got it for me and I want to be able to show her as well as our excitement off!  :)

Day 362

I know, it has been a few days once again.  I have been very negligent in the area of the blog and I should have been getting them done every day.  On Tuesday, I did go to the gym in the morning before work.  I did the treadmill for 30 min and then walked to the lrt and on the way home, walked home.  So for Tuesday, I did a total of about an hour of exercise.  I also received some good news on Tuesday.  Grandma had finally received a call from the guy that was finding me a car and apparently it was ready to go!  How exciting!  At that time I found out that it was a 2007 Dodge Caliber but I didn't have much more information for that other than the fact that Grandma needed a bunch of information from me.

On Wednesday morning I received a fax at the gym from the insurance company and I did my 30 min workout while I waited and then when I went to receive the fax, Jeremy was downstairs.  I had no choice but to talk to him.  So, we worked everything out and set up a session for next Thursday at 11am.  I am unsure as to how that will go but, time will only tell.

Yesterday I did not get to the gym.  I had to go to work at Esso for 9:30 and then after work, I went out to Leduc to sign some paperwork for the car as the registration office would not release the registration to Grandma without a proper letter of authorization.  So, by the time I got home, it was almost 9pm and I just wanted to go to bed.

This morning I again went to the gym before work and I can go into a little bit more detail here because I can actually remember what I did there.  I did the treadmill for half an hour alternating the speed on a 2.5 or higher incline between 3 and up to a speed of 3.6.  I wound up burning 209 calories in that half an hour, walked across the parking lot to get my Timmie's coffee and then away I went to work.

I work at Epcor tomorrow morning at 8:00am so I do have to be up at 4:45 in order to be able to function at 8 and therefore I will be going to bed here shortly.  I have not done any of my stretching in the last week other than once on the weekend and I'm still feeling pretty good with the back issues but, I will be doing the stretches and getting alot better with the exercise next week as my schedule clears up just a little bit.  Other than that, hopefully tomorrow I have my car parked outside my house, sure would be nice :)

So even though I had been to the gym quite a bit this week, I am sorry to have such a small blog for the day but, as I said, next week will be much better as I won't be working quite so much.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Day 358

Hmmm, I am thinking that I messed up somewhere along the lines of doing the blog and recording the days.  But, 17 days to go and Day 365 seem to be missing 5 days somehow.  I don't know.  Anyways, I had a fairly late night going to bed last night after the episode at Esso.  I walked off the job because the other girl I was working with wasn't really the friendliest of friendly and we all know how I can lose my temper.  So, I did, and away I went.

I had full intentions of doing stretches last night but, as it turned out, by the time I calmed down from being so angry, I wound up going straight to bed because my eyelids didn't want to stay open anymore.

I was awake at 7:30 this morning and came downstair groggily to have my breakfast and attempt to wake my sorry butt up.  I made it upstairs at 8:15, jumped in the shower and I was ready to hit the gym for 9.  I was hoping to run into Jeremy just so that he could ask me when our next session was and I was ready with my reply of "oh, but you have too much paperwork to do" but, he wasn't there.  I went upstairs to the ladies only room, jumped on the treadmill and away I went.

I started off at a 3.0 speed per normal and after 5 min upped the speed to a 3.2.  At 10 min I raised the incline to a 2.5 and after a minute started the jog sprints on a 4.2.  I did this twice on the 2.5 incline and then reduced it back down to a 0 incline and continued on the sprints.  At 18 minutes I did a 2 min jog and then for the rest of my 40 minute session on the treadmill did a 3.2.  In that time, I wound up burning 204 calories and decided it was time to go.  I knew that I still had to go home and then walk to the LRT and back for today and so I didn't really feel up to doing a complete hour on the treadmill.

I did do the walk to and from work, at a speed walk, so it took me roughly about another 45 min or even an hour both ways.  I figure that it's pretty good for one day and maybe tomorrow I might feel up to doing the gym in the evening.  I will have to see how I feel after work.  5 more days of working and I can finally rest.

Tonight I will be doing my stretches and hopefully do some ab crunches before bed.  I won't be attempting the plank today as my back has been pretty bad for the last week.  However, tomorrow while I am at the gym in the morning, since I have so much time to kill before work, I will be trying to do some weight lifting and trunk rotations, since my trainer still has had no interest in getting ahold of me to reschedule.  Might have to put a call in, but I will wait it out for the week and see if he wonders why he hasn't seen me in the gym at all or talked to me in the last week.  Who knows?

Day 357 - Weigh in

I haven't really been doing much in the way of exercise the last few days because when I got home from work on Thursday my left foot was a little bit swollen and hurt pretty bad.  I think with my workout on Wednesday evening I might have done something in the way of damage.  So i have been trying to just take it easy a little bit.

However, this morning when I woke up I decided to get up fairly early so that I am able to actually get a decent sleep tonight.  I have a big week planned for myself ahead of me and I really need to be able to make it.

I came downstairs, and went straight into the basement to get the weigh in done.  With all of the hard work that I had done this week, I was pretty sure that I was going to have a good weigh in.  I was right!  I weighed in at 182 lbs!  I went down 2.6 lbs, not quite the 3 lbs that I originally wanted but, pretty darn close!  I guess so far to date, that would be a total weight loss of 82 lbs so far!

I still have 5 weeks to go in order to lose the 15 lbs to reach my goal for the 20th of July but, with the dedication that I have had in the last week and the determination, I am pretty sure I can do it.  As I wasn't at the gym in the last few days, I really had a chance to do some thinking.  I have reached a few decisions and I am very excited and at the same time, intimidated.

I am still very upset about what happened on Wednesday with my session being cancelled and I guess until I talk to Jeremy, it's just going to be that way.  So, I have decided that I will just be continuing as I am to go to the gym on my time off and if he happens to approach me or text me, only then will I be discussing what happened and letting him know how I feel about it.

Also, I have decided that it is time for me to move on in my life and to go on to become more independant and responsible.  I have plans in place to be living on my own, in my own place within the next 3 or max 4 months.  I firmly believe that I have finally made the changes that needed to be made in order to finally be able to become the adult that I am supposed to be.

I have also made an appointment on the 8th of August to start getting work done on my teeth.  I know they are pretty bad, as I had just given up on myself and my happiness and now that I am on the road to a better and more exciting life, I want to make sure all of me is fixed.

So I'm not exactly sure what the next year is going to bring in my life.  I have another 18 days until the leg of the blog journey is complete and after those 8 days, it looks like the blogs will be stopping.  It's been fun, and very educational as well as emotional, but, I think I am at that point in my journey that I don't need the reminder any more of what was.  I can only move forward from here. :)

Day 354

So today started off pretty crappy once again.  I was still in a bad mood from yesterday and I figured that instead of sharing my bad mood with everyone else in the world, I would just carry on with my day and try to make the best of it.  I got up at 6:30am, had my shower and headed out the door after eating breakfast to the gym.  I got there at 7:15 and grabbed myself a coffee before heading over there.

At this point, as I was sitting there drinking my coffee, my phone rang.  It was Patty.  She was wondering what was going on, so, me, being the person that I am, let it all out on the line and I started walking over to the gym.  We talked for about 30-40 min and I wound up burning about 200 calories in a 45 min span, tears and all.

I left the gym at about 9:15am, and headed over to the LRT.  By the time I got to work, I was still feeling pretty horrible.  I decided to continue on with it anyways and by the end of the day, I was actually feeling a little bit better.  Still angry and hurt, but a little better.  I was able to leave work a little earlier, at 4:30pm, and as I got to Clareview, I noticed that my left foot was swollen and it was starting to hurt.

I got home, checked it, and yup, swollen foot.  I still wanted to go to the gym.  I got to the gym once again to do my second workout, and burned 150 calories on the treadmill once again in a 25 min span.  I would have gone longer had my foot been feeling better but as I continued on, it hurt more and more.  I think with being in such a foul mood yesterday combined with this mornings bad mood, I may have stepped wrong and I am thinking that I sprained my foot somehow.  Just lovely.

Considering the fact that I haven`t even attempted to take off the shoe yet tonight, it still hurts quite a bit so, I am thinking that tomorrow I am going to just take it easy.  So there will be no workout tomorrow morning as long as the foot is still sore and hopefully by the evening if it is feeling better I may be able to go for just a wee bit.  Nothing too strenuous though.

I will be doing my stretches tonight, only my stretches as I didn`t get them done last night either.  I was too upset and opted for bed instead.  Maybe tomorrow will be a better day mood wise.  Who knows.  The phone is still turned off as I still don`t want to talk to anyone, just want to figure some stuff out on my own.

Day 353 - cancelled session

So I am extremely pissed, and I don't mind saying so.  I am so sick and tired of people that pretend to care, and I am so sick and tired of people saying that they are going to do something and then don't.  I woke up this morning at 6am in order to get the car to go to the gym.  I was in a very good mood until I received a message from Jeremy 20 min before my session saying that he had "tons of work to do" and that if I could work out by myself it would be great.

I didn't bother answering him back, as I was already on my way to the gym and when I got there I parked in front of the gym for 15 min, completely ticked and decided that no, I was going to go get a coffee and head home.  I suddenly didn't care whether or not I did do a workout.

As I was standing outside of the Esso having my smoke, I saw Jeremy pull out of the parking lot and leave.  So, it looks like he really didn't have tons of work to do, and if he did, he sure didn't wait too long to leave the gym and go home.  So in my opinion, he lied to me.

When I got home, I finished drinking my coffee and then went to meet up with Cassandra to have coffee and vent my frustrations.  I picked her up from the LRT and we headed back over to the Tim Horton's by the gym.  As we walked in the door, there was Jeremy, all smiles.  He asked me how I was, I replied fine, and walked over to the counter completely ignoring him.

Cassandra and I picked up Jan from the LRT at 4 and headed back here to make supper and then I dropped her off and finally went to the gym.  As I parked the car, next to Jeremy, as there were no other spots, I almost pulled out again and left.  But, I went inside and didn't see him at all.

I started on the treadmill on a level 3 and then after 10 min I increased the speed to a 3.2.  5 min more and again I increased it to a 3.4.  I didn't once lower the speed below 3 and by the time I was done, I had burned 355 calories in 65 min.  I plan to do my stretches only before I go to bed and then I will be going to the gym once again in the morning before I go to work and when I get off as well.  As far as the sessions go, I am unsure when the next one is as I firmly believe that he doesn't really have much interest in training at the moment so I am going to be doing it on my own for awhile until I am done being angry with him.

I would have been fine if this hadn't happened before but, as it has, and the last time was the same excuse with no notice, I just don't see the point in scheduling a session at this time.  I will be continuing this path on my own for awhile.

There will not be any more blogs posted this week, as I just don't feel up to blogging at this time.  Weigh in will be posted only.

Day 352

I wound up making it up early this morning which is pretty surprising considering the time that I went to bed last night.  I was awake at 7am, out the door to the gym by 8:15 and at the gym by 8:45.  I jumped on the treadmill as my back was still feeling pretty terrible and I did a speed walk for only a half an hour.  I wound up burning 154 calories and then made my way over to the lrt by walking another 15 min.  Another 10 min walk to work put me at almost an hour walking session this morning.

As the day went on at work, I kept getting the sharp pains in my back and I wasn't quite sure if I was going to be feeling up to going to the gym.  So, I just carried on, and by the end of the day it wasn't that bad.  I had made the decision to go after all and as I walked out of the building to walk to the LRT, the wind was so bad, and it was starting to rain.  By the time I got to Clareview I had changed my mind once more and was on my way walking home.  I could have just stayed there and waited for the bus but, I decided that I could still get some exercise in regardless and try to beat the storm home.

By the time I made it home it was 8:30, and that would have totalled about a 40 min walk.  Not too bad actually.  So all in all, I did get an extra workout in, kind of.

I will be doing my stretches once again before bed tonight, this time, the ab crunches and plank will not be done as I am pretty sure that is the reason for such a sore back.  Tomorrow is my session with Jeremy at 1pm and I want to make sure that I am able to do the session that he has planned considering the fact that I had asked him to make them just a little bit harder.  More news tomorrow!  This day has been long enough.

Monday, 11 June 2012

Day 351

I didn't make it to the gym this morning as I had anticipated and I was really hoping that I would be able to make it.  My alarm went off at 7:30 and I wound up falling back asleep again until 8.  I jumped out of bed, came downstairs, ate my breakfast and quickly went upstairs to get ready for work.  I am very happy that I did most of my lunch preparation last night before I went to bed.  Again tomorrow I don't have to worry about the prep work so, I am going to hopefully be able to get to bed a little earlier and get up early tomorrow to get my workout in and then tomorrow evening I am going to try and go back to the gym for another one.  I am hoping that with 2 hour long workouts throughout the next couple weeks I should be able to lose that 15 lbs.

So tonight after work, I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to go to the gym.  All day while I was answering calls I kept getting really sharp pains just under the shoulder blades towards the centre of my back.  This has been happening since Saturday evening and I am not sure what triggered it but, it is very painful.

I had the car today and had to park over by belvedere because there was no parking at clareview and by the time I actually got over to the esso, I was even in more pain than I was when I was at work.  I went over to the gym parking lot and parked for a few minutes debating wether I should go inside or not.  I texted Cassandra on this matter and she said to do what my body feels is the right thing to do, and I chose instead to listen to my head.  I should've listened to my body.  LOL

I went upstairs to the ladies only room and was going to do the treadmill but figured I would start off on the eliptical instead.  I am not sure what possessed me to do that but, I probably should've done the treadmill.

I started off on a level 6 and started off at a fairly fast speed for about 10 min.  I don't think I went under a 5 speed and I was really feeling pretty good.  I increased the level up to an 8 and carried on for another 5 min and this time I don't think I went under a 4.5 speed.  In the duration of a 15 min span I wound up burning 166 calories.

At this point I decided that I had enough of the eliptical and wanted to do the treadmill for a little bit.  I started off at a 0 incline and 3.0 speed per normal and left it there for 5 min.  I then increased the speed to a 3.2 and increased the incline to a 2.5.  After about 2 min I increased the incline once more to a 4.5 and carried on until I hit 8 min.  I increased it one more time to a 6.5 incline and then at 10 min, lowered the incline back to a zero for 2 min.  I hit the cool down button and at the end of that 15 min I had burned 84 calories there for a total burn of 250 in half an hour.

Considering the fact that it is me, and considering the pain in the back right now, I was pretty impressed.  I did do everything that I said I was going to do last night before bed.  140 ab crunches, held the plank for 57 seconds, not quite a minute, and stretches.  Tonight I plan on doing roughly the same as well as trying the side plank and lower ab crunches as well.  It looks like I will be trying my hardest in the next few weeks to lose what I have hopes to lose.  I am hoping the cheerleaders are out there because I am really going to need the motivation in the next little while here to keep pushing through!

Day 350 - Weigh in

I have been having a completely fantastic day so far!  Even though the rain has been on and off like turning on a tap, I was able to meet up get to the gym, do a workout, meet up with a Lia Sophia Representative to purchase a ring, and even go to the grocery store and pick up a few things.

This morning I was awakened by my phone going off at 8:30 am and I just want to say, "Thanks Cassandra!"  I got out of bed, came downstairs, and started to make my breakfast.  When I finished, I rested for about 30 min and headed off to the gym for 11am.

As I got to the gym, I went upstairs to the ladies only room with the intention of doing my full hour while splitting it up between doing the eliptical and the treadmill.  What really wound up happening was I spent 45 min on the treadmill total.

I started off on a 3.0 speed for a minute and then bumped it up to a 4.4 to do a jog.  I did this alternating between the 2 for about 20 min and then I started to slowly increase the incline.  At times I would do a 2 or 3 min jog and by the time I was ready to hit the cool down button, with a minute and a half left, I increased the incline to a 4.5 and did a jog at a 4.4 until I was done.  I felt so good afterwards and I really wanted to get on the eliptical but, as I looked at the time, I had to go.  I looked at the workout summary and in 45 min I had burned 253 calories.  Nice!

When I did weigh in this morning, I felt an amazing amount of relief.  I have finally reached my goal of 185lbs!  I know I was already here once, but it was definitely not an accurate weigh in at that time and this time I know it's real because it has been more the gradual pace of reaching it like it has been all along.  I have decided to keep going a bit until July 20th at least and my new goal until then is to try and lose another 15 lbs.  This will be a tough one to beat but, I have always said that I love a challenge and I am intent on doing it.  So far, total weight loss is 79 lbs.  Hopefully by the time I am done, I can lose a total of 100 and then I should be at the perfect weight and my body should actually look fairly decent.  :)

Tomorrow and Tuesday I will probably not be going to the gym, unless it happens that I am able to get up fairly early in the morning in order to make it there.  I will have to see how I am feeling.  On Wednesday I have my next session with Jeremy and I am really hoping that it is as intense and wonderful as it was last week.  I will have to make sure to let him know that I want it to become a little bit tougher each week.

I will be doing approximately 150 ab crunches, like I did last night.  I will be trying to hold the plank for a minute today as yesterday I was only able to hold it for 45 seconds before my back made me quit and also do my stretching which is of course, always required.  Maybe I will try to get in some pushups in on each of the yoga mat sessions just to get the upper body taken care of as well.  Again, what a fantastic day!

Day 349

I know I say this quite a bit but, it is hard to believe that it has been 349 days since I came down this road.  I am still amazed at how much I can handle, and I am also surprising myself every day as to how much I can actually take on now.  I feel unbelievable and it can only get better from here on in.  I have another 2 weeks to  go and I will be at my year of embarking on the path of a healthy lifestyle.

I realize that this blog is fairly late, and I probably should have done it sooner but, I have been a little preoccupied with painting my nails, doing some shopping, and visiting with Jan.  I really love being here and being able to do pretty much anything I want.  I could do it anyways but, Jan and I do spend quite a bit of time together and it is very enjoyable.

I have been up since 4:45am, I came downstairs and made my breakfast and then I thought, maybe I will walk to the lrt today.  As it got closer to the time to leave, I decided that I had way too much stuff to carry in order to walk and therefore, called a cab and made a pit stop at Timmie's.  Once I got to Churchill station I realized that I didn't have my smokes with me and so, I dropped my stuff off at Sara's desk and booked it out to find a store that was open at 7am.

I did a speed walk for a half an hour downtown not finding any success and when I got back to work, I realized that I must have been really giving it because my legs were feeling a little on the wobbly side and I was almost huffing and puffing by the time I got back.  I think it's time to quit the smoking.  Maybe I will be able to go longer speed walking without the puffing.

On my 15 min break, I decided to take a walk to go to the smoke shop by work and again, did the speed walking.  So maybe I didn't do the gym this morning but, I am pretty sure I got a good workout in.  I didn't really have to stop for any lights and therefore, I was doing a speed walk for a total of 45min today.

After work, I had every intention of going to the gym after work, since I had packed all of my gym stuff with me and I was going to walk over from clareview.  However, the weather had other plans for me and as I reached the Clareview platform, it started to pour rain and then hail the size of a pea.  I gave Jan a call and asked if she wanted to go for supper at that point being 5pm and then I would go to the gym afterwards.

By the time we got home from supper though, I just really wasn't feeling up to going to the gym.  My back was starting to seize up on me and it was just not going to be a long workout even if I did go.  So, I just relaxed in my chair for a half an hour and then 45 min later I was headed out the door to go Walmart to do some shopping with Cassandra.

Once I got home again, it was too late to go to the gym, and to be honest, I still wasn't feeling up to it.  So, I sat down to paint my nails and when I was done with them, got the yoga mat out to do my stretches.  I did 4 of the normal stretches, held the plank for 47 seconds and continued on to do 60 ab crunches.  I am still not feeling too good in the back but, I will be going to the gym tomorrow weather permitting.

I am excited about this weigh in, because I have kind of been keeping an eye on it.  I am pretty sure that I have done well and we will just have to see what it says tomorrow.  I will hopefully be going first thing in the morning to the gym as Jan and I do have some things that we need to get done tomorrow.  The blog will be up in the afternoon at some point, depending of course what time we get everything done.

Day 348

Well, it has been a pretty acceptable day today.  I was awake before 9am this morning and I was actually quite surprised that I was actually able to crawl out of bed.  I am still pretty sore from Wednesdday's workout still but, it is getting a little bit better.  The insides of my legs are pretty sore and my back is very bad but, it's not a bad hurt.  It just means that I am supposed to be much better in the way of exercise and how I am eating.

I got to the gym around 11am and went upstairs to do a lower intensity workout on the treadmill other than doing a jog type workout.  I started out at a 2.7 speed for 10 min and then increased it to a 3.0.  By the time 15 min was done I had burned 66 calories and I then had to go to the bathroom.  I came back to the treadmill and put it on a 3.0 for another 5 min and then decided that I should maybe go a little bit faster and try to get a higher intensity going.  I increased it once more to a 3.2 and carried on until I hit the 15 minute mark.  I increased the incline for the last 5 min and hit the cooldown button.  By the time I was finished this round I had burned another 143 calories.  So it wasn't that bad for the day totalling 200.

Once I finshed at the gym I had a few errands to run as it is payday and when I got home, I had my coffee, talked to my friend Cassandra on the phone for a few minutes and then was on my way to work.  This time when I went to work, I did make sure that I had my ereader with me and then my team lead  wanted to talk to me for a few minutes in regards to enrolling in the benefits.

After work, I ran over to Costco to pick up a couple pairs of pants.  Unfortunately, they only had 1 color of pants that I wanted so I picked them up and grabbed a shirt as well.  I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed at the moment because it has been a really long time since I have been able to shop in stores other than the plus size stores.  When I was trying to find the pants that I was looking for, there was a lady there folding the clothes and putting them away.  She asked me what size I was looking for and when I replied with 16, she said, no, you look like you should be in a 12.  I was completely shocked that someone would think I was that small.  And boy, does it feel good.  That kind of thing only makes me want to keep going because when I am down to a 12 or a 14, and I will be, I know that I will look and more importantly feel completely amazing!

As tomorrow I am working from 8 - 4:30, I am unsure as to wether or not I will be getting into the gym.  I will be doing my stretches, ab crunches and the plank tonight before bed, just like I did last night, and hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get in to the gym in the evening and try for a "last chance" workout, just like old times!  :)

Day 345, 346 - Session

I was supposed to post the blog for yesterday last night but, I got a little caught up with trying to watch my Days of Our Lives that I have missed for the last 3 weeks.  So, I guess I have to cram yesterday and today into a long and winded one today.

Yesterday before work, I went over to the gym to get a little bit of a workout done so that I didn't have as much to do after work.  Unfortunately, going to the gym after work wasn't an option because of the fact that as it was, I was very hungry and with the weather being the way it was, really just wanted to come home and eat.

I did the treadmill for half an hour yesterday, burning a total of 200 calories.  It wasn't that bad of a workout at all.  I wound up starting off on a speed walk for 5 min on a 3 speed, and then did a jog for a minute on a 4.4.  I reduced it back down to a 3 for 2 min and then did a 3 min jog back on the 4.4.  I alternated for the next 10 minutes and then went to a speed walk of a 3.2 to finish off my 30 minutes.  It wasn't much but, as I was running out of time and I was still going to be walking to the LRT, it was a pretty good workout.

I was up pretty late last night due to the fact that I kept hearing noises (which later turned out to be the cats messing around).  I finally crawled out of bed at 9am and came downstairs to make my breakfast and get ready to head out to my session.  I left fairly early because I didn't get my coffee in this morning and I thought that I would just sit at Tim Horton's and chill out before I would get my butt kicked.

As I walked in the doors, I started getting my money ready and as the next person was called forward finally, I realized it was Jeremy.  We said hello, he went his way, and I headed outside to sit and drink my coffee and mentally prepare myself for what was about to come my way.  I knew that he was going to give me a tough session and as I am sitting here writing this, my body is sure feeling the effects.

When we first started, he had me do maybe about 20 or 25 step ups with each leg and then as I was in a squat, pull a rope lifting about 25lbs towards me 12 times.  I then had to do the step ups again and then this time with the rope I had to stand on the bosu ball and pull the rope towards me again.  I was sent down and up the stairs 3 times, allowed to rest for a couple minutes and then right back into it again.

As I got back up the stairs for the third time, I noticed that the bosu ball was flipped upside down.  I was expected to get into a pushup position holding onto the bosu ball and then bring each leg towards my chest 10 times.  I was then handed a 12.5 lb dumbell and had to hold it straight above my head and walk across the gym and back on each arm.  As I got to the other side of the gym Jeremy said "Whoever thinks Jeremy is the best trainer in the world raise your hand."  I at this point made him laugh because I immediately lowered my arm.

We did the bosu knee drives again and then I had to go down and up the stairs 3 times again.  We did the knee drives again and then 2 more times down and up the stairs.  Once I got upstairs he had brought out a kettle bell and told me to rest for a couple minutes.  I then had to swing the kettle bell 12 times between my legs and straight out in front of me and then we moved over to the TRX ropes where I had to do 12 forward lunges on each leg and following that, a 3 minute sprint on the bike.  We repeated this set once more and finished with another 2 minute sprint on the bike.

I was told that I need to do 3 hours of cardio, and recommended that I get the stretches done when I get home today and continue those and core every day until our next session which is next Wednesday.  He took it easy on me for the homework because next week is going to be a fairly busy week with work for me.  I told him that it would be really hard for me to get to the gym but that I would try to make it at some poiint.  It's kind of hard when you don't have a vehicle and it takes roughly an hour to walk to the gym and depending if you leave on time, an hour home.

It was an excellant session and I am going to make sure to let Jeremy know that I would like to have more sessions like that.  Just because of the fact that we only do sessions weekly and I think it will remind me to keep up with my end of the bargain better.

Considering the fact that I don't work until 3 tomorrow or Friday, I will be going to the gym both days, hopefully earlier than I have been so that I can get a full hour in.  Next week I have plans to at least go for a walk after work so that I can get at least some kind of cardio in.  More tomorrow!

Day 344

I did wind up going to the gym yesterday.  I woke up at 9am, had my breakfast and was out the door by 10:30am.  I wound up not posting yesterday because by the time I got home I was pretty tired and only had enough energy to get my stretches done.

I walked to the gym yesterday and it took me roughly 45 min to get there with a stop in at Esso to see if I had any shifts available.  Seeing that there were none, I headed on towards my destination.  I was still pretty upset with Jeremy and I didn't really want to talk to him so I sat outside of Tim Horton's for awhile in hopes that he would be leaving the gym and going away for his lunch break.

Considering it is me that we are talking about, I definitely don't have luck for anything.  I was checking out my dear Facebook and all of a sudden I hear my name.  Darn, my plan didn't work, it was Jeremy.  We talked for a few min and then he went to go in and get a coffee.  I told him he could get one for me and gave him some money and away he went, happy as a duck.  He handed me my coffee, asked how the weekend went, and of course as I talk to him I just can't stay mad at him.  He's just that type of person that can just bring you out of just about anything.

I told him about my weekend, about my awesome time on Saturday night drink night, and he so kindly told me that punishment would come for the next session to teach me a lesson.  Great.  I accept it though because I know that I shouldn't be doing this.  I still have a ways to go and I need to start getting my head back into the zone.

He left and went back to work and I sat for another 15 min just drinking my coffee and gearing myself up for the punishment I would be giving to myself for being so bad.  I walked over, went upstairs and we set up another session for Wednesday.

I started off on the eliptical, I was on a level 6 for 10 min and never once let my speed drop down below a 5.  I was feeling pretty good but at the same time, because I haven't been as dedicated recently I was unable to continue on further.  So, I finished burning about 115 calories in that 10 min and carried over to the bike.  I did a level 12 for a min here and then a level 4.  Back up to a level 8 and dropped it once more to the 4.  I went up the last time for a level 6 and kept it there for the remainder of my 10 min here.  In total I wound up burning roughly about 200 calories in a 20 min span.  That doesn't include what I burned on my walk.  I did pretty good I figure.

I carried on to work and did my 4 hours shift.  While I was at work I was thinking, oh boy, Jeremy was probably pretty disappointed in me for drinking 2 weeks in a row and probably didn't think that I was wanting to carry on with my journey.  He is not a very confrontational guy, so he probably didn't want to make me angry by calling me on it.  I don't know.  But anyways, I was starting to think about the session on Wednesday and I was kind of curious as to what he was going to have me do.  So, I texted him and told him I was a little scared for the session and asked him what I should be doing to prepare for it.  His reply was lots of cardio and stretching.

Because I am the person I am, I asked him how much cardio he would like me to do and then I asked him if there was any chance of reducing the punishment with a coffee bribe.  Guess what, it didn't work lol.  I didn't get home until roughly 8pm and by the time I had finished have a small bite to eat for supper it was 8:30pm.  So, I got the yoga mat out at 9 and did my stretches like a good girl.  This was the first time that I have actually done them in quite a few days.  It felt pretty good as I was doing them but, when I got up it wasn't quite so nice.  I will be doing them from now on every day.  :)

I will be trying to hit the gym before work today and that is why I decided to do the blog for yesterday now.  I was thinking I would maybe put them both together but, as my cardio homework is "lots" I am unsure how much of lots he wants me to do and will probably be going back to the gym tonight after work for a little bit.  The blog will be up tonight for today before I go to bed.  Session tomorrow at 12pm!  Wish me luck!  :)

Day 343 - Weigh in

I think after a night like last night, this really has to be the week to get back on track.  I just don't get what is wrong with me.  I think it is because I am finally feeling much better about the way that I look now, and the way that I feel and I know that it will just get better from here and I will feel way more amazing once I get some more of this weight off.  I just have to get the weight off lol.

Last night was once again an epic fail in the no drinking law that I had placed on myself.  I wound up getting hit on by not one but two lesbians, oh my word, and then some random guy wanted to give me a ride home and the majority of the time, that's not all they want to do.  Anyways, there I was, having fun, chilling out, very inebriated, and when I got home, finally, I went straight to bed, no questions asked.

I woke up this morning at 7:30am, feeling not too bad hangover wise, considering the amount of water and coffee I drank last night I guess that was a good thing.  I came downstairs, turned on the wii and found out that even though I was very, very bad in the last 2 weeks, I wound up losing a pound.  So now I am down to 187lbs.  77 lbs lost, not too bad!

I still have not heard anything as to when my next session with Jeremy is.  He still hasn't texted me and I am still very upset about that, and I do hope that I see him tomorrow because I will be having a chat with him about it.  I am hoping to do my full hour before work, and then return home afterwards and have a more relaxing evening just sitting here, maybe reading a good book or something.  Now that sounds more like a plan to me.  Nice and short today, not much to tell, have a great day everyone and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Day 341

Ok, I know I am falling off of the wagon a little bit and I am unsure as to why and how to get back on.  I am feeling really frustrated lately, not just with the weight loss, but with all sorts of other aspects of my life as well.  From friends, to family, to the personal trainer, to work.  It seems every single area of my little world has something going on, and I just don't know how to deal with it.

I won't go into specifics because, there really isn't much point.  It just means that I need to figure out where I want to be, who I want to be associating myself with, and basically, what I am going to do.  I am not eating properly anymore, because of the stress that I have put on myself and I don't know how to get back into the swing of things or even if I want to.

I have noticed in the last week that I just want to be left alone.  I don't want to talk to anyone, in a sense, and it's really not like me.  However, I guess that's just something that I need to work on.

I did go to the gym after work tonight.  I was really hoping that I could get in, get my workout in, and not have to talk to Jeremy at all.  I am a little upset with the way things are going with his personal training at the moment and maybe that is my fault because I have let him get away with so much thinking that he is a friend and I respect him and his thoughts a lot.  I was lucky enough where he wasn't there and I was able to go upstairs and do a quick workout with no interruptions.

I did the treadmill for 30 min, burned 174 calories, and away I went home.  I did do a jog for a few minutes but the majority of the time I only did a speed walk on a 3.2 and 0 incline.  Considering the fact that I haven't been doing much in the way of exercise in the last week, I wasn't really up to finishing off a whole hour.

Once I got home, I was really feeling a little under the weather so I had not done my stretches or any of my core exercises.  Now that I have been calming my emotions down, and after I have talked to my Dad for 30 min, I will be doing them before I go to bed.

I need to be up at 5am tomorrow to go to work, and  I will be going out afterwards so I don't think I will be getting to the gym at any point.  I will be going on Sunday after I have done the weigh in and then I think I can finally try to get myself back into the game next week.  As I did so poorly this week, I am hoping that the weigh will be ok.  I guess we will have to see.
