Today started off as a pretty good day. I woke up, had some breakfast, had my shower and was out the door by 8:10am. I got there at 9 and Jeremy was surprisingly already there and ready to go. So I filled out my water bottle, and we got started. First I had to do lunges 12 times on each leg, then with 7.5 lb dumbells do 12 lunges on each leg while doing a a bicep curl. Once I finished that, I was told to do 12 squats with a 12.5 lb dumbell and then while standing up raise the dumbell over my head alternating with each arm. I had to do this a total of 3 times and then we went on to do 12 pushups, and then with the 7.5 lb dumbells raise them over my head 3 times, go down the stairs, raise them 3 times again and repeat 3 times. It didn't actually feel like we did a lot of different exercises today, just more than usual for each one.
It was a good session, and I am excited to see what happens on the next one. Jeremy has classes on Thursday and Friday so, unfortunately we only have the one session this week. I told him that the only way I could do Wednesday is if he was willing to come in at 7am. In which case, I would have to be up pretty darn early lol. He is going to text me either later today or tomorrow to let me know. Other than that, my homework is to do an hour of cardio everyday and stretches per normal. I may just go back to the gym this evening, I don't know yet.

Day 138 - Weigh in
Weigh in day again, hmmm. I don't know really how I should be feeling today. Due to the fact that Friday wasn't a really good day for me emotionally, and then being really excited about my measurements, I decided to do a little bit of celebrating in the evening.
Jan and I had decided that neither one of us wanted to cook, and although it probably wasn't the best choice for supper, we broke down and ordered pizza. I guess once in awhile it's not too bad, however, the bad habits didn't stop there. After supper we sat down to watch A White Christmas. This is something that I do every year in memory of my mom and Jan was nice enough to share that with me. I got thirsty so I decided to make myself a glass of rye and coke. Yum, went down good. Made a second glass and polished off the bottle.
At this point I really didn't care anymore about the weight loss. I still care but I thought, I'm not going to deny myself the pleasure of a couple drinks once in a blue moon if I want them. So, I continued the celebration and cracked open a bottle of wine, got on the computer and started messing around. Pretty soon I had finished the whole bottle of wine without realizing it. UH OH!
I figured I should probably get to bed because otherwise I would really be in trouble and didn't want to do that. So, away I went.
Yesterday I had a bit of running around that I had to do. I had to go and get an itunes card so I could download some music for something that I am working on for Matt and Nikki's christmas present and I also had to go to the book store and pick up a book that Jeremy recommended I buy and read as part of my homework. Nikki wound up coming with me and we wound up staying out and about for 3 hours and then went back to her place. We realized that it was getting to be supper time so she invited me to stay for supper and we had pasta with a meat sauce. It was very good, but probably not the best choice for me. Oh well, celebration weekend! :)
Once we finished supper, Matt and I decided to bring the car back for Jan and then he drove me back to their house for a night of board games. Matt brought out the chips and I was doomed! So to top the night off I had some of those as well and I didn't get to bed until at least 4 in the morning. LOL
I got up this morning at 8:30am, feeling pretty terrible because of the bad weekend I had and then on top of eating and drinking so badly, I didn't even get my workout in. I had to run over to the store to get some veggies so that I could make my supper for tonight and then by the time I got back here it was 11am. By the time I was actually ready to go out, it was 12:30pm. Considering the fact that it takes half an hour to walk there and a half hour to walk back, plus I have to make my lunch still, there really isn't much point to go now.
I have decided that I am going to do some step ups for a half an hour today, and maybe try and get stretches done. At least if I can do an hour today at home, it may not be interval cardio, but at least I can get that done. Tomorrow morning I will make sure to do the half hour of cardio before my session.
So for all of the bad stuff that happened this weekend, I got on the scale expecting to maybe put on about 5 lbs. However, as I opened my eyes, it said that I am at 229 lbs. So, it looks like I lost another pound. That's not too bad. Next week I am hoping to be really good and aim for a much higher number. Due to the fact that Jeremy has a few managerial duties he needs to do, it looks like we only have the one session this week. So this means that I will have to make sure to go everyday and give it my all!

136 - Measurements
I was in a fairly decent mood today when I got up, ya I am missing mom but, not as moody as I normally am at this time of year. I didn't sleep very good because I was excited and kind of nervous to go into my session today. I didn't know what to expect and wasn't sure of the measurements. I went to walmart, picked up the pictures I had ordered, and carried on to my session.
I was on the treadmill for 7 minutes when Jeremy came to ask if I was ready to do my measurements. I told him I guess so, he chuckled, and away we went. Since July 11, I have lost the following in cm:
Neck 4
Glutes 16
Shoulders 4
Right thigh 21
Abdomen 1 19
Abdomen 2 19
For a total of 83 cm lost!!! That's 32.7 inches! Wow! Since I have done so well, Jeremy of course had to stop a bunch of people throughout our workout and share with them how well I'm doing. It was very comforting to know that he was so proud but, at the same time, it's kind of embarrassing as well. However, I am very proud of myself.
Jeremy then said that we were going to try a new machine today. OOOH! How exciting! First he had me go over to the bench like structure where one side has a bench and a bar hanging above it. While sitting on the bench I had to pull the bar down towards me lifting 75 lb weights. Then we went over to the treadmill and I had to do an 11 incline and 3.2 speed for a few min and then we went to the chin up/dip assist machine. Here I had to do 12 assisted chin ups and 12 assisted dips and then do a wall sit. I repeated this 2 more times and then I had to do walking lunges across the gym to the seated rows.
Jeremy then walked over and grabbed 2 of the 17.5lb dumbells while I did 12 of the seated rows and then I had to go down the stairs while he walked beside me and then on the way up, carry the 17.5lb dumbells with me. This was to show me how much weight I had lost from the very first time I went into the gym. Back to the seated rows 12 times and then this time I had to carry the dumbells down the stairs and back up and then go down and up the stairs once more without. One more time on the seated rows and then I got to go down and up the stairs 3 more times without carrying anything.
All in all it was a great workout and I am very pleased with everything that happened. I have attached the picture that Jan and I took last night so you can see the progress. As for the total weight loss, you will have to wait until sunday morning for the results as it is weigh in day officially. Have a great evening everyone!

Day 134
Well, it looks like my homework is now complete, with the exeption of my stretches amd core that I need to do daily that is. I woke up this morning to a terrible start. I was in so much pain in the back, knees and feet that I felt like going through all this change wasn't worth it. I wanted to give up everything and go back to my old lifestyle and just crawl in a hole and stay there. But, I quickly changed my way of thinking and referred back to my list of things that I was thankful for and love and decided that maybe I just have to endure this pain just a little bit longer to get to where I need to be in order to have this pain gone.
So, I got showered and dressed for work, made my lunch and headed out the door. I was half way to work when I realized that I had forgotten something at home so I had to turn around and go back and then I was late for work. I got there and Mike (my boss) met me at the door and he was like, guess what? You don't start until 4. What? Really? Now what am I gonna do??? So, I headed to the gym.
Judy (my coworker) was nice enough to give me a ride to the gym so when I got there, I got changed and headed upstairs to the treadmill. I did half an hour there and thought, well, maybe I'll go to the ladies only room and do the eliptical for a little bit. So I walked over, looked at it, and decided maybe I'll just go home.
I went back downstairs to the lockers, grabbed a piece of gum, and thought, no, I'm not quite ready yet. I went back upstairs, got on the bike and did 15 min there. I wound up burning about 300 calories today between the 2 of them. Once I was done on the bike, I then got changed and headed over to Esso where I stayed and had a coffee for about an hour. It was nice to be able to just sit there and relax, not have to worry about rushing anywhere. Then I headed towards home, got to the bus stop and took the bus home. Now it is 3:30 and I am ready to go to work. My stretches and core homework will be completed tonight and then tomorrow I am going to the gym once again, after work this time, and then I will finish the day off with more stretches and core. So tomorrow my blog will be posted a little late, probably around 9 or even as late as 10. I hope everyone has a magnificent evening! :)

Day 133 - Session
I woke up this morning in the worst possible mood at 6:30am. I was going to go with Jan to work and just walk over from the LRT but, I was in no mood to do any walking at that point and time in the morning. So, I just opted to have an extra long shower, have my breakfast, and take the bus. However, as I was walking to the bus stop, I missed the darn thing! So, at this point, I was freezing cold, grumpy and running late for my session. Marvelous!
I finally got to my session with 10 min to spare and I was still really grumpy and made sure to let Jeremy know about it. He asked me why I was so grumpy and I said that I was trying to quit my stupid smoking. We went into the ladies only section where I had to do a bunch of strength exercises. I don't remember all of the machines and not sure what they are called but I do know that it felt good as we continued on. I was starting to feel a little bit better at this point and we did a few squats and some more strength exercises and then headed downstairs to do some more strength exercises.
I notified Jeremy at this point with 10 minutes left of our session that last night was pretty bad in regards to the eating and that my homework wasn't really a hundred percent complete. We went back upstairs where I was to do my cool down and wait for him to decide my fate on my homework. I did the treadmill for 5 min and then went back to his office. My homework was to do 2 1/2 hours of cardio, 10 min of core every day and 15 min of stretching every day until Friday's session at 10 am.
Really? 2 1/2 hours cardio? That's just plain mean. So, I decided to walk over to Matt and Nikki's place to see Sophia and it took me an hour to get there. Ha! Take that Jeremy! My homework will be complete today!!! I sent off a text to him to let him know that and I'm pretty sure he'll come back with doing more. So at this point I just might as well just aim for 5 hours of cardio and call it my punishment! LOL
On Friday I wasn't going to take a session but, I opted to go in at 10 am and we are doing measurements. Once those are done, I have asked Jeremy to give me a high intensity workout for the remainder of our time so that I don't have to think about anything but the workout. We will see how it goes.
More tomorrow!

Day 132 - Weigh in
I am feeling a little on the overwhelmed side today. I am sitting here crying because I am so happy about the accomplishments that I have made so far. Not only that, but I am missing my family more and more each day and I know that I could go and see them whenever I want but, at the same time, I don't really have the time to be going anywhere. My life has gotten so busy and I don't like it one bit. I like to be able to sit here and read a book if I want or talk on the phone with the loved ones, or run out for coffee with a friend whenever I want.
I guess that's the price you pay for choices you make in your life in regards to your health. Health first, hard work next, and then the pleasures of life can follow. All of this emotion was set off a little while ago due to the fact that I phoned my dad to talk to him and share the news of my weigh in. I am so very proud of myself and I knew that he would give me the excitement that helps to keep me motivated and keep me in tact. I was not disappointed in the least.
I have also made a decision in the last month to better enhance my financial situation and therefore, I made a decision to quit Esso, although I love the job and the customers, and the people I work with, I just can't afford to do any of the things I love to do. It's slowly tearing me apart and I am afraid that if I don't do something about it, I won't last much longer and give up. So, I got an offer to go back to McDonald's as a Swing Manager once again, with a 2.50 pay increase from what I am making now, and also my weekends off. This is particularly the deal breaker for me because I am then free on the weekends to do whatever I want. I am able to go and see my dad, I am able to go and see the family, and I am able to see my friends as well. Not only does it give me my life back, but it also gives me the chance for benefits as well so that I may continue to strive for the things that need to be taken care of like my teeth, eyes, and any medical that may arise. Hopefully not, but in case it does then I am prepared.
This is not going to be a lifelong career, I do have plans in place for something else, but, for the time being until I can get everything else worked out that needs to be worked out, this will do. I enjoyed my job as a Manager as well and look forward to going back.
Today's workout was decent, probably not as effective as going to the gym, but however, it was still good in my eyes. I did 15 min of step ups to the beat of my music, walking lunges from the living room to the kitchen and back, side lateral step outs with a twist with my 5 lb medicine ball, and then up and down the stairs three times. In total, was probably only a half hour of workout time but, I didn't feel too good this morning so I will be sure to try and at least do some more when I get home from work.
My weigh in this morning was ok, I'm pretty sure I am at 227 or 228 but, as I am feeling a little on icky side due to mother nature, and quite possibly retaining water, the scale said that I was 230. So that means I have gone down from last week 1.5 lbs. I have not quite got the smoking licked, I have definitely reduced it drastically but, I thought that it would be alot easier if I quit going into my days off as I don't have any stress at home and the accessibility isn't there. Once the first 2 days are done, it should be easy street from there. So Monday evening will be the official day 1 of my no smoking saga.
Total weight loss to date is -34 lbs :) :)

Day 130 - Session
I am having such a fantastic day today! I woke up feeling a little on the tired side as I have been trying to get a few things sorted out in my life to better enhance my future and was up fairly late last night as a result of it. However, once I got to the gym and started my session, it turned out to be the start of a pretty amazing day!
I started off on the treadmill for 5 min for my warm up and then went to meet up with Jeremy at the pulley ropes. I was told to do straight arm rope pull downs 12 - 15 times and then step ups. I did this 3 times and then moved across the way to the bench where I had to sit on the bench and using both hands while holding a 10 lb medicine ball, do seated trunk rotations and then stand up and bring the ball above my head about 12 to 15 times. From there I had to do side lateral step outs with a twist using the medicine ball and then down and up the stairs 2 times.
I had to repeat this a second time and as I did the stairs again, Jeremy did it with me. Then I did the seated rows with 45lb weights, did the walking lunge across the gym to the TRX ropes, did rowing pull ups and then made my way back doing the walking lunges again. I did the seated rows once more, this time with 60 lb weights and then went back to the treadmill for my cool down.
My homework for the weekend is to do 10 min of core and 15 min of stretches every day and at least an 1 3/4 of cardio. I will have to see if I can get this done as I won't be able to get to the gym tomorrow, however, I should be able to do step ups here at home. My next session is Monday at 9am, and I am hoping that it is just as good as today. We had a lot of fun talking, laughing and joking around today! Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get a good workout in at home here and the blog will be posted later in the evening.

Day 128
I got up this morning in a pretty cranky mood, not gonna fib about it. I'm not really sure what was wrong, just didn't want to get out of bed today. Anyhow, I did get out of bed and had my shower and then came downstairs and was just about to eat my breakfast when the phone rang. It was Sara. She was on a break from work and wanted someone to talk to. I kind of bit her head off because I was cranky but, as the conversation went on, I was starting to feel a little better. So, sorry Sara for being such a bag this morning lol.
I got ready for work, put my boots on and my winter jacket and headed out the door. Just as I got to work I realized that I forgot to transfer the heel gels from my shoes into my boots. Man this is going to be a painful day! And it was.
We were training a new girl today and unfortunately, I wasn't able to sit down as much as I usually do to rest my feet. I wound up finding things to do, like mopping the floor, helping out some of the customers at the pumps and making coffee. Not such a big deal but, the back started to hurt a bit more and my feet were killing me.
By the time I was off, Jan came to pick me up from work and brought my sneakers for me so that I could go to the gym and attempt to do an hour of my 2 hour cardio homework. I figured that I would do the bike because it is less strenuous on the feet and I only lasted 35 min. However, in that 35 min, I wound up burning 211 calories and even made it up to a level 13. So I was pretty proud of myself for that. I stopped at Timmie's and got Jan a tea, and myself a coffee and headed home. I am content now, although I still have to do my stretching for the evening. I will be doing pretty much the same as yesterday except for the fact that I am only going to do the plank once. I think that's what was bugging my back so much today. Considering when I am doing the plank it is the lower back that burns when I am doing it and that's where the majority of the pain is today. Tomorrow I will see how I'm doing in regards to the foot department but, I am hoping to finish off my homework tomorrow evening. More tomorrow! :)

Day 127
I was able to sleep in a little bit today and I can honestly say that I am glad I did. I got up at 10am feeling a little tired still but, I got up, had my shower, and waited for Matt to bring Sophia over so that I could babysit. I had thought that maybe I would go to the gym this morning but, as the alarm went off at 7am, I just didn`t feel up to getting out of my warm bed. Sometimes it just works out that way!
I came downstairs, had my special k with banana in it, and continued on with my day. I had decided that I was going to make supper tonight because I really didn't want leftover stew and was really craving the fish. So, I made fish, with steamed veggies, and brown rice for supper. It would have been a little better had I not put so much pepper on it but, it was still pretty darn good!
Once supper was finished and the cleanup was done, Nikki and I decided to go to the gym. She needed to talk to Jeremy about a few things and we wanted to make sure we got there in time. Once they had their talk, we went to the treadmill and did 15 min there. It seems like I just can't go any longer on that stupid thing because of my feet but, I did the best I could.
From there, we went over to the ladies only room and went on the bikes for 15 min and then called it a night. It was 8:30pm and Biggest Loser would be starting soon and we didn't want to miss it. Ya, ya, silly excuse for cutting the workout short! I did make it up when I got home though.
I did my stretching, 5 of them, and in between each side I did 20 ab crunches and the plank twice. I wound up doing a total of 100 ab crunches and at least 35 seconds to 40 seconds of the plank. I figured that I still had 2 hours of cardio to do and since I will be heading to the gym after work, I may be staying there for at least an hour, maybe an hour and a half. I'll have to see how everything is holding up.
As I was doing my stretches and planks, I got a little bit frustrated because I can't hold the plank for longer than 18 seconds at a time. I was hoping that maybe my back has strengthened up a bit to handle it a little longer but, it looks like I am going to have to keep trying it. My goal is to hit 25 seconds by next friday so I'm going to try it every day and hope I can get it there.
I will be posting when I get done with the gym tomorrow and also when my stretches are done. I am hoping to hit 15 min straight this time on the eliptical so I guess we will have to wait and see! :)

Day 126 - Session
I think I am starting to get on the right track of mind once again. I am still a little confused and conflicted about some things, but, all in all, I am doing much better today. I was awake at 6 am this morning after being up until almost 1:30 am and was ready to get it done by the time I went to give Jan a ride to work.
I came home, had my coffee, and waited for 8 am to come around. I jumped in the shower, got dressed and made it out the door and to the gym with 10 min to spare. I had a smoke, went in, and got on the bike for an 8 min warm up before Jeremy came to get me.
We started over by kind of like a ballarina bar type thing that has resistance bands attatched to it and using both ends of the resistance bands, started working on my shoulders right away. Then I had to do stepups from the sides straddling the board and then back to the resistance bands. The second time I did the step ups I had to take the 5lb medicine ball and step up while holding the ball above my head and then with a different resistanct band, I had to stand on it with one leg slightly bent and do side arm lifts. Back to the step ups with another medicine ball that weighed alot heavier than the other, and I had to hold it to my chest while doing the step ups.
From there, I went to the TRX ropes and did reverse lunges reaching as far back with my leg across the backside of my body, alternating with each leg repeatedly. Off to the bike I went to do a 3 min sprint on a level 10 and then I did the TRX ropees, stairs 2 times and back to the bike for another 3 min sprint. Then we went over to do some more shoulder exercises which is kind of hard to explain, followed by forward lunes and then repeating.
After that, we moved over to the flexibility machine and as I was doing that, Jeremy did the hamstring stretch and then we switched and finished off with a few stretches on the mats. It was a great workout today and I felt pretty refreshed afterwards.
My next session is on Friday morning at 9 and for homework I am to do 2 1/2 hours of cardio plus at least 10 min on the eliptical since "I am starting to like it" says Jeremy as well as stretches every day of course, and core exercises which includes the plank and ab crunches. I think I should be able to manage that, and this time I will be sure to at least try the plank at least once during the next couple days. :) More Tomorrow!

Day 125 - weigh in
This morning was pretty good getting up, my back is still a little sore as well as my shoulders, arms and feet but, for the most part I am feeling pretty good. I had my breakfast of 2 pieces of toast with turkey bacon, a slice of cheese and an egg on both, my coffee and then headed upstairs to have my shower.
I got to the gym and headed to the ladies only room where I did 15 min of interval on the bike and then headed back out into the main area and got on the treadmill for 20 min for more interval. I went back into the ladies only room and looked at the machines in there for a minute and then finally decided on the eliptical. I wound up going on that on a level 4 for 10 min. I didn't take a break until the 8 min mark and the only reason why I had stopped was because I was trying to decide if I wanted to continue or call it a day. I figured I would finish off with 10 min and left. I walked over to the esso to get coffee and tea for Jan and I and then waited for her to pick me up.
Once home, I wound up getting a call from work to come in earlier so, I didn't get the stretches done but, I will be doing them when I get home tonight from work. My normal 4 will be done, with 20 ab crunches in between and maybe the plank. I'll have to see how my back is feeling after work.
My weigh in isn't really anything to get excited about but, I did go down half a pound this week making my weight, 231.5 lbs. Next week I am hoping to be down at least 2 or 3 pounds so that means that I will really have to pick up the pace and eat properly as well. I have my session in the morning at 9 so I will be sure to write the blog by the time I get home and then hopefully I will be going back to the gym tomorrow evening as well. More tomorrow!

Day 124
I can't believe I missed my fourth month anniversary of a new lifestyle yesterday. Today I didn't really do a whole lot as I worked the 10 - 6 shift and not only that but, the gym opens at 8 and closes at 8 so there isn't really much time to get into the gym and either get ready to go to work before or eat afterwards. All I did today was my stretching. In between each stretch I did my 20 ab crunches and still I have not done any planks because my back is still pretty sore.
I started to head out for a walk tonight, however, as it snowed today, and it was melting and then later turned out to be icy, I wasn't able to go for my walk. I was feeling a little upset about that earlier because I felt like I was failing my goal for the weekend. As I was doing my stretching I thought about it some more and really, it's not failing at all. Sometimes there are going to be days that you just can't do what you want to do. So tomorrow, as it is weigh in day, and considering the fact that I am not working until 4pm, I am going to the gym in the morning once again and going to finish the homework that I was given.
I will post when I get back and hopefully tomorrow will be a new start of many things that are going to change in the next few weeks to come. :)

Day 123
My session yesterday must've been pretty darn good because as it stands today, I am in sooooo much pain! My arms, legs, neck, back, butt, knees, feet and shoulders are so tender! I rolled out of bed carefully at 8am and slowly made my way down the stairs. I almost felt like my knees were going to buckle two or three times but, I managed to get downstairs and manuever around a bit. I had my breakfast, with my coffee, went back upstairs and got dressed and then headed out the door to the grocery store.
As it was pay day yesterday I had to go to the store today and get some fruits and veggies so that I could carry out Jeremy's "experiment". Once I finished that, I carried on home and had my shower to get ready for the gym. I wasn't too sure if I was actually going to go through with it because of the pain that I was experiencing but, since I haven't exactly been a good girl and doing all of my "homework", I figured I had better go because my darling trainer will kick my butt in my sessions severely if I don't.
I got in the car, headed over to the gym and once upstairs I went to the ladies only room to start my workout. I started off on the bike at a level 6 for 2 min, then bumped it up to an 8 and kept going back and forth about 3 or 4 times every couple of min. I then bumped up the level to a 12 and did it for a min and then back down to a 1 for a min. I did this for the remainder of my 20 min on the bike and wound up burning 107 calories.
I was starting to feel the burn in my legs so I decided that maybe I should be trying something else for a little bit. I jumped on the treadmill and started off at a 6.5 incline and a 2 speed and wound up doing intervals here as well. I kept the incline the same for about 12 min and then decided to lower it down to a 4.5 and wound up hitting a 3.4 speed for 2 min! I was so excited about that and since my feet were really starting to hurt I dropped it down to a 2.8 and finished off 40 min on the treadmill burning 318 calories.
All in all it was a really good workout and when I got home, I rested for a little bit and then continued on to do my stretching, ab crunches and planks. I'm pretty happy with the day and I am really hoping to get back to the gym tomorrow night for some more! More tomorrow!

Day 122 - Session
This morning I woke up in a fairly decent frame of mind and got ready to go to my session intending on talking to Jeremy about a few things that I needed to address. There wasn't anything bad, just wanted to ask for some help and knew that with him being the nice guy that he is, he agreed to help me.
We started off doing reverse lunges on the TRX ropes and then he had me go across the gym and do rowing pulls. From there we went back to the TRX ropes and repeated and my back was acting up a little bit. We repeated the rows and I had to stretch the back a little bit. He asked if I was ok and me being the stubborn woman I am, I said yep, I'm fine. We carried on to do toe taps and he had me go down and up the stairs 2 times and then do the toe taps again.
From here we went downstairs and did one of the machines that you kneel on one knee and lift weights with one leg backwards 15 times for each leg and then I had to do walking lunges, getting down as far as I could go across the gym. When I finished that, I had to go up and down the stairs 2 times and then we did the silly machine again, and then he had me do 12 squats and move over to the stairs where I had to have one foot halfway off the stair and push down. Repeated with the other leg and then I had to go back up the stairs. I had to basically go into a pushup position on the bench and while holding that pose with my legs as far back as I could, lift one leg straight back behind me and alternate legs. He grabbed a couple of mats and we did some stretches which included 3 of the normal ones that I do on my own at home. We then gave me my homework which in my eyes is a little bit much, but I will do it nonetheless. I have to do a total of 2 hours of interval cardio, planks, ab crunches and stretching every day.
Our next 2 sessions are scheduled for Monday and Friday at 9am and I'm kind of excited, but as I am tired right now, not so much. However, we will see what the weekend brings :)

Day 120
So today I was awake at 8am to try and make it to the gym for 9 but, as usual, I didn't make it on time. I had my shower after talking to Jan for almost an hour and headed out the door making it to the gym for 10am. I did the treadmill for 35 min and then made my way over to the ladies only room where I continued on my cardio workout on the bike for 20 min. I got home and rested for the majority of the day before I did my usual 4 stretches and called it a day in regards to my exercise for the day.
My mood is pretty good today, as I have a few choices that I have to make in regards to more life changes that could arise in the next week or so. I won't share anything yet, as I don't know what I am going to do at this point. However, it could prove to make my life just a little bit easier and also quite a bit better as well. We'll see how it goes.
I was reading my blogs starting from Day 1 today also and I had to laugh because I thought on those first few days that doing the bike for 8 or 9 mins was going to kill me! Now I am able to do it for an hour on a good day and 30 min the rest of the time. I've been thinking about all of the accomplishments that I have made thus far, and I am sure getting stronger. I'm feeling much better as well in regards to pain in the back. As I still have the scoliosis in the lower back, at times it is still pretty painful but,n for the most part I am ok. Now all I need is to get these feet in check and I will be good to go.
I am so thankful that I have the few people in my life that are constantly pushing me through all the good and bad. Nikki has been one of my biggest as she will not let me give up no matter what happens and also Jeremy is a huge supporter as well. Just when I feel like I don't want to do anymore he gives me that extra push to keep me on the right track. The rest of my supporters are greatly appreciated as well and you know who you are. Thanks guys!

Day 119 - Session
I wasn't a hundred percent sure that I was going to do a blog today. I've had a pretty emotional day and I'm not really proud of my session this morning. I didn't give it all I could have, and my heart was just not there. However, here I am, blogging away once again.
I didn't have a good sleep again last night. Seems to be a pattern that keeps coming and biting me right in the bum. I am thinking way too much, can't get my mind off of things and I'm hoping that my little meltdown this afternoon with my aunt will put my mind at ease just a little bit.
I got to my session right on time and started off on the treadmill for 3 min, didn't really feel up to it and then finished my warm up on the bike for 2 min. Jeremy came and got me and took me over to the TRX ropes. I had to do a squat and then a rowing pull. I did this 12 times each alternating and then we went over to the benches and I had to do what Jeremy calls "burpies". Basically what you do is a pushup on the side of the bench, jump to a standing position, raise your arms above the head and jump again. I had to repeat all of this about 15 times and then go back to the TRX ropes and do 20 squats in a row and then 20 rowing pulls.
I went down and up the stairs 3 times which Jeremy did with me, and then I had to do bench squats with 7.5lb dumbells raised above my head 12 times and then the stairs 2 times. Then I had to squat with the dumbells lowered just under my knees and then while standing up raise them into bicep curls. Then I had to get into a lunge, do a bicep curl, stand up, and repeat 12 times on each leg. After this I went into walking lunges with my arms held out to my sides and back then down the stairs one more time. I finished off with the eliptical for interval training which I completely hated but did it anyways for 8 min because I am such a good girl. My next session is on Thursday morning at 9 and before it comes I of course have homework to do which is 20 min of stretching tonight, 10 min of stretching tomorrow as well as an hour of cardio and then 10 min of stretching on wednesday as well as an hour of cardio. So until tomorrow then ....
Day 118 - Weigh in
I can honestly say that I'm not sure how I'm feeling today. I am having mixed emotions running through me so far this morning. One minute I feel happy, proud of what I have accomplished and the next I just want to cry. It's getting closer to Mom's anniversary, and yes, I miss her dearly as I always will, but at the same time, I feel happy that she is at peace and in a great place. I feel alone these days. I know it's just a phase, and it will pass, but it doesn't stop me from feeling this way.
I got up this morning thinking about the gym and how great it would be to be able to go just a little bit faster on the treadmill, and then I thought, I really don't feel up to doing the gym today. I was hungry, had a hard time sleeping once agian last night, and just didn't feel up to going. So, I made my breakfast, had two cups of coffee and jumped in the shower. My mind was made up and I did my workout here at home.
I pulled out the yoga mat, and got down on the floor and pointed my toes down and stretched my arms above my head. I did 20 ab crunches and took a 20 second rest for my back, and then pulled my left leg across my right and held for 45 seconds. I did another 20 ab crunches and repeated with the other side, followed by 20 more crunches. I took another 20 second rest, put my right ankly on the left knee and pulled up, 20 ab crunches and then did the opposite side with 20 more ab crunches.
Once finished with these, I rolled over on my belly and did the plank for almost 19 seconds and then pulled up into the cobra position. I had a little bit of a rest and then tried the plank again. I was not successful the second time, I was only able to do it for 6 seconds but, at least I tried it.
I was going to do a small workout before work but, unfortunately Nikki was here so I was unable to get my workout done. I work 4 - 10 today so I will make sure to at least do an hour workout tonight when I get home. Last night Jan met me at work and we went for a half hour walk with the dogs so I'm pretty sure I can at least get my hour and a half in tonight before bedtime.
I stepped on the scale this morning and it said that I have lost another 2 lbs. So I am now at 232lbs. 8 more lbs to go and the no smoking is going to be in effect. I'm getting fairly excited! I will have the blog up tomorrow after lunch at some point after my doctor's appointment and session.

Day 116 - Session
I can't believe I'm still standing after last nights workout and my session this morning. I still have quite a bit of energy which is good, but my feet are just begging for any kind of a break. I stepped on the scale this morning just to see what it may look like for Sunday's weigh in and oh wow, was it ever looking good! Just a little bit of a teaser for you guys today!
I got to the gym at 8 this morning, an hour early for my session because I had caught a ride with Jan to the LRT once again. I did 10 min on the treadmill for my warm up and then I wiped down the treadmill and met Jeremy to get started.
He started me off with the pulley rope and I had to pull without twisting my back across my body with my right arm and then doing a squat while holding the pull at least 12 times and then repeating with the left 12 times. Then I had to do toe kicks kind of fast while he sang some kind of silly song and then repeated both 2 more times but the second and third time I had to hold the medicine ball over my head while I did the toe kicks.
From there I had to do a squat and pull 40 lbs towards me while in the squat and then step over to one side while in the squat and keep repeating about 12 times each way. Then it was on the mat to do pushups, 14 of them and then repeat these two excersises. I went down and up the stairs twice, repeated them one more time and then we made our way downstairs.
I had to sit facing a piece of equipment, grab the bars above me and pull down 12 times, go up and down the stairs twice and then the weight was increased a little bit. I did it again 12 times, stairs 2 more times and repeated with the same weight. One more time going up and down the stairs twice and then I had to go do my cool down which I chose the treadmill for 5 min at a 2 speed and 4.5 incline. We had a pretty good time this morning, quite a bit of laughing and even though the laughing was going on I really was sweating pretty good. Monday is my next session at 830 in the morning because I have an appointment at 10 for an ultrasound so unfortunately I'm gonna have to make Jeremy get up half an hour earlier so that I can make my appointment on time! :) I will still be going strong this weekend, tomorrow I will be going to the gym for an hour with Nikki hopefully after work and then Sunday morning as well. Once I get home both times I will be sure to post my dear blog!

Day 115
I would have to say that today has been a pretty good day. My goal for a 2 hour workout has been acheived today! I felt pretty good this morning going to work and I figured that I might be able to walk to the gym afterwards but, as I worked it seemed that my feet just weren't going to make it. By the time I got off at 6 I walked home and was able to take the car to the gym.
I got there at 7 and went on the treadmill at a 2 speed and a 9 incline for 10 min and then dropped the incline to a 6.5 and increased the speed to a 2.4 for 10 min. I finished off at a 3 incline and a 2.6 for the last 10 min and then made my way over to the bike.
I put the bike on a level 6 and was able to go for about 15 min. I had a quick little break and then went for another 10 min. By this time Nikki was ready to come join me at the gym and needed a ride so I went and picked her up to come workout with me.
Once we returned to the gym I did the eliptical for 25 min and then did the bike for an additional 5 min. I moved off of the cardio equipment and decided that I should do a few weight lifting things as well. I went over to the split pulley rope and pulled 75 lbs 12 times, then went over to a different machine and grabbed the bars on each side and pulled forward 12 times and then reversed that one and did that 12 times. From there I did the leg press 12 times, rested for a couple min and then repeated. By this time I figured I had worked out enough for one day and we left the gym. My total calorie burn for the evening was roughly about 600 calories. Not bad!
Tomorrow is my session with Jeremy, the first of 24, and I'm pretty sure that since I refused to do 2 of the excersises on the last session he is going to make me sweat big time tommorrow! I am really looking forward to it though!

Day 114
With not doing anything on Sunday I have counted it as my rest day and therefore today I opted to do a mini workout at home for about 30 min to 45min. I started off doing walking lunges with my 5lb medicine ball raised above my head from the lliving room to the kitchen. I believe there were roughly about 10 lunges each way. I then headed up the stairs and down 3 times and then did 20 step ups on each leg. I repeated the circuit and then had a little rest. I did it one more time and then got down on the floor to do my stretches. I did the four usual ones that I always do and then did calf raises on the stairs for a kind of cool down. Tomorrow I am going to the gym with Nikki hopefully if I don't work in the evening and we are hoping to be there for at least 2 hours. I really want to get my 3 hours of cardio in and not dissappoint myself again as well as Jeremy.
While I was doing my workout today, I had lots of help and support. Charlie (my lovely kitty) raced me up and down the stairs each time! Lily, came to help with my stretches as well as Sweet pea. Sweet Pea also helped me with my step ups a little bit in the way that I would try to step up and she would already be there waiting for me. Boy do I love our animals! Daisy was really good and just laid off to the side and watched everything go down. But now I have to get ready for work, so that is why I haven't continued on with my workout.

Day 113
After a rough start this morning, and by the end of the day, I had a pretty fantastic day! I woke up at 8am this morning and realized I slept through my alarm that would have allowed me to have the car today to get to my doctor's appointment for 8:30am. I quickly jumped in the shower, called a cab and rushed out the door. Once I got to the clinic, I paid for the cab, went to leave and wound up snagging my finger on something. So now I'm late for my appointment and bleeding to boot! Good thing they have bandaids there!
When the doctor's "assistant" came in she went over my blood test results before I actually got to see my doctor and I can tell you that the stress for the last 2 weeks can finally be put to rest. It turns out that all of my results came back pretty normal! I was told that my cholesterol should be at a 15.6 but, mine was at 15.8. So there was nothing to be concerned about there. My blood sugars are really good, normal, so no Diabetes for me! That one was a biggie for me. She took my blood pressure and let me know that I was 110 over 80 which is good too. Once we finished with those, we got down to the physical examination which was why I was there in the first place and then she sent me on my way to get an xray done of my back and then sent me up with an appointment for an ultrasound for next week.
She also took a look at my feet and poked and prodded and told me that I have Plantar Fasciitis. She gave me a perscription for a cream that I am supposed to apply 3 times a day and then also told me to use a golf ball on my feet as much as I can until it starts to feel better. Once I do, I am supposed to keep on with the ball on a daily basis to help it stay good and to always wear shoes in the house or wherever I may be.
So once I was finished here, Matt (Nikki's Fiancee) came and picked me up and drove me over to the World Health Centre so that I could pay the first installment on my next sessions. I had taken a coffee for Jeremy (cause he asked nicely and I'm such a nice person) and when I went to pay, my debit card declined on me. Really? I know I had the money in there!
As it turned out, I did have the money in there but, because my service fees came out for my bank, I paid for a cab in the morning, and I bought the coffee, I was $6 short to pay for the installment. WHAT??? LOL Anyhow, it is all fixed now and I am good to go. Once Matt dropped Sophia and I off at home it was smooth sailing until Jan got home. I was still pretty pumped about my test results and was really anxious to get to the gym. I went to Nikki's at 6:30 to pick her up and instead of taking the elevator up, I took the stairs. She lives on the fourth floor of the building so I figured that it would be a good start to our workout! Coming back down we again took the stairs and headed to the gym.
Once we got to the gym we got on the treadmill and started at a 9 incline and 3 speed and kept going for about 5 min. Then we played with the speed and incline up and down a little bit and after half an hour, we decided to go try out the bikes for 10 min. All in all we only did 40 min but, in my eyes, it's better than nothing. Before bed I did my normal four stretches that I usually do, and I did a nice calf stretch that also helps out the Planta Fascia as well on the stairs. Tomorrow morning I am hoping to go to the gym for 9am and may stay just a wee bit longer than an hour and get a little bit longer of a workout in. Considering the fact that my "homework" is 3 hours of cardio, I should probably get on it! Friday is my next session with Jeremy at 9am and I can't wait to see what he has in store for me! Chow for now!
