This morning was very stressful and hectic for about an hour today. I woke up at 8:30, had my breakfast, which consisted of 2 1/2 tablespoons of activia yogurt and a piece of toast with a slice of cheese, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, and an egg on it. It was of course yummy and then I proceeded to go upstairs and have my shower. As I was getting out of the shower the phone rang, so I ran to go get it and it was a bill collector. I asked him to call back in 5 min, turned around to go get dressed, looked out the window and there was someone here to pick an item up for Jan. I heard the doorbell, ran over to the window, yelled at him to hang on a minute and quickly got dressed. I ran downstairs, dealt with him, was just coming inside when the phone was ringing again. Dealt with the bill collector, went back upstairs, and finished getting ready for the gym. Sheesh! I hate being that busy when I'm not fully awake in the morning!
I figured since I still had some time that I would stop for a coffee before I hit the gym. I was sitting there minding my own business and all of a sudden the door opened and there was Jeremy. He went and got himself a coffee and sat down with me for a few minutes. It was then that I told him that I would be entering the contest because of the fact that I had bought new shoes and insoles for my work shoes and that my feet really don't hurt all that much. Of course, he was very excited and happy to hear that and the proceeded to tell me that I don't need to wear a sports bra if I am uncomfortable doing that but, that I could wear a tighter fitting shirt if I wanted. That to me was satisfactory and with my feet hopefully on the mend, I am starting to think that maybe I can do it.
We said our goodbyes, and I finished my coffee as he went back to work and then I headed over myself. I started off on the treadmill at a 4.5 incline and a 2.9 speed. I was feeling pretty good so after a min I increased the speed to a 3.2. I dropped it back down to a 2.9 for a min and then back up to a 3.3. Each minute I either increased or decreased the min as per what Jeremy had requested. 17 min in my right leg started to get a little sore in the hamstrings so I had to cool it for about 5 min to get to a more comfortable state. So I decreased the incline to a 2.5 and the speed down to a 2.5. At 30 min I started again slowly increasing the speed each min and wound up hitting a 3.7 for a min. My highest so far! I burned 361 cal in the 45 min that I was on the treadmill and decided that maybe I should try something else. My feet were starting to feel a little sore so I wanted to take it easy.
I went into the ladies only room and jumped on the eliptical and for the first min I was on a level one, second, level 4, and slowly increasing to a level 7. I carried on for 10 min not letting my speed go any lower than a 4 and called it a day. I wound up burning an additional 100 cal there and for me, as of lately, almost 500 cal was really good!
Now that I am home, before work I will again be doing my stretching. I will also be rolling the ball on the feet to make sure that I am in really good shape for work again tonight and then hopefully I am going to attempt the plank for at least a min this time and some ab crunches. I might even throw some pushups in there. Tomorrow I will be hopefully going over to the gym a little earlier as I want to be able to stop at the store for a couple of items for my lunch before I come home. Not to mention the fact that I want to try and get myself to a point where I can push just a little bit harder next week to start pouring the weight off and win that damn contest! :)

Day 180
This morning I woke up to more pain in the feet and I thought that maybe I would be able to suck it up and go to the gym anyways. As I kept moving around the house, I noticed that it still wasn't letting up. Jeremy had mentioned to me yesterday that I should maybe think about going to the Running Room and picking up a pair of shoes with more stability. So as I was sitting here in pain I went to go and get ready for the gym, I figured since Jan was home from work, I would borrow the car to go to the gym. But then I thought, I still have some money left over from my cheque, so I'm going to go and shop around for shoes.
I went into the Running Room and the clerk was very helpful for me. I wound up trying on a few pairs and the very first one I put on, I stood up in them and it was instant relief! I couldn't believe that I was able to walk around and not have any pain at all! Amazing! The clerk had also suggested that I go to Costco and get a pair of the orthopedic insoles for my other shoes, that they may help.
So, I purchased my shoes, bought an acuball to roll under my feet, and headed on to Costco. I bought the insoles that I was recommended to buy and came home. I was so excited to try them out so I put them in my boots that I usually wear for work. NO PAIN!!!! Since there are 2 pairs I have decided to put one in my boots and use the other pair to put into my gym shoes for my sessions so that I have no issues at all when I go to do my workouts. I am hoping that it will help to resolve the problem and if by Friday, I still have no problems, I will be entering the contest at the gym.
I am going to do my stretching before I go to work, so that I am able to completely finish a shift without any pain at all. If it works. But tomorrow I will be going to the gym for my full hour session on the treadmill either in the morning or by 11:30 at the latest. I hope everything works out, I really want that 10 grand! :)

Day 179 - Session, weigh in
Another day, another session. I was hoping to get up a little earlier today to be ready for my session but, as I got out of bed at 7:30am and went in to the bathroom to go have my shower I realized that maybe I should just go back to bed for another hour. My feet are so friggin sore and I just don't know how I'm going to manage with them. I have plans next weekend to go and get yet another pair of new shoes that will hopefully help me out with my feet while I'm at work. Quite honestly I don't think it will help much, but I have to try something. This is getting ridiculous.
If I could get away with it I would take 2 or 3 weeks off of work and just stay home. My doctor had recomended it to me awhile back but, I just can't afford to do it. I will just have to somehow put up with it and try to get passed it.
I got to the gym and wound up not having anything for breakfast, didn't even get my coffee in this morning so, I really wasn't feeling up to working out. However, I changed my shoes, got upstairs and on the treadmill and did my warm up, sore feet and all. Usually I can manage about a 2.6 or higher right off the bat. Today I started off at a 2 and just took it a little easier. Jeremy came over to get me and we started of doing 10 pushups, the plank, 25 ab crunches, 10 more pushups, and then a 3 min sprint on the bike on a level 12 before I was able to take a 20 second break. We repeated this circuit and then I was able to rest for a minute. I repeated everything a 3rd time with the exeption of the bike and then we made our way downstairs.
Here I had to do 10 seated dips, which works on the triceps and then get into a lunge like stance and do 10 bicep curls with 10 lb dumbells on each leg and then up and down the stairs 2 times. We repeated this again and pretty much that was it. Even though there wasn't much variety in what we were doing it was still a pretty good workout. I vented my frustrations from the weekend, he asked me once again about the contest and I told him that I still needed to think about it a little more but that I would let him know by the end of the week.
My homework for the next week is to do 5 hours of cardio, and stretches every day. I asked him for specific cardio instructions as he doesn't seem to think that going for a walk counts and he told me that as long as I do interval cardio on the treadmill or the eliptical it was fine. Our next session is next Monday at 10am and then on Tuesday I will be making a bold move when I get paid. I have decided that rather than drag out the payments for the first sessions that I have been paying for, I will be paying the first sessions off completely. This will help in the long run because then I can afford to start putting more money away for a new vehicle. I am so sick of depending on other people to get me from a to b.
I did weigh in yesterday morning but as I have been in pain all weekend, I didn't feel the need to do a blog for just a weigh in. I was really happy with the results, still am and I am hoping that even though I wasn't able to get into the gym on the weekend I will be able to pull off some decent numbers next weekend. Anyways, on to the numbers. I weighed in at 216lbs, which is so far a total weight loss of 48 lbs. I wound up losing 3 lbs last week! Yay!
I will be going to the gym once again tomorrow, in the morning this time because it's too hard to go to work right after a workout and stand on my feet for 8 hours. I also plan to do my stretching when I get home from the gym because then I don't have to do it at 12am when I get home. I think that would be a much better idea! Blog will be up before I go to work at 2:30pm tomorrow.

Day 176 - Session
All I could think about today was coming home and going back to my bed. My feet are killing me, my back is just as sore, and I'm tired today. Plain and simple and straight to the point lol.
Today Jeremy had someone shadowing him again. Gotta love it when you have 2 men trying to help you out. We did a bunch of stationary weight lifting today which was nice for a change. Due to the fact that my feet were definitely up to par I was very thankful. So we did 12 rowing pulls on a different machine than normal, and then went over to to another one to do tricep and bicep pulls 12 times each and then 12 times with a 10 lb weight doing side step twists.
From there I had to do toe taps on the bench while holding the 10lb weight above my head and then repeat everything. Then I had to sit on this seat facing a machine, pull down 70lbs 12 times and then repeat everything again. I did this 2 more times and then we got down on the floor to do some stretches. We had a good session today, I am pretty sure my back is going to feel it tonight but, I am going to go to work and be merry. I can only do the best that I can. Jeremy presented me with an option to enter into a contest to win 10, 000 dollars. I am not sure if I want to do it. Basically the person that has the best body composition and the most weight loss will win. Who knows, I have until the end of January to decide. He also asked me if I wanted to go down to one day a week for our sessions as I only have 8 left. At the time I told him no, that I wanted to continue on with the two a week but, by the time I got home, I changed my mind. I am hoping that only 1 day a week will still keep me motivated enough to continue on and maybe for the first 4 weeks I will do one a week and then go down to 1 every 2 weeks. This way I still get my training that I may need and also, I can see for myself if I can continue on my own.
Anyways, I am going for a nap now, I am tired, and I will have more for you tomorrow. Hopefully Sunday will be a good weigh in! :)

Day 175
I can't believe it has been almost half a year already since I started out on this journey. I know, I say that every few months but, really? I usually give up a few days or a couple weeks into anything that I start. This is just awesome that I am just as dedicated now as I was day 1. I know that there have been a few moments where I have wanted to give up, however, it is only because of the fact that I am so tired of being in pain all of the time. I have come to accept that the pain will never fully go away. I may not like it, and I don't have to like it but, it is never going to be completely gone.
I almost thought at one point in my shift today that I didn't want to continue working at McDonalds. Not because I don't like it there, but that every night, I am in so much pain when I get home that it is almost unbearable. My feet hurt so bad right now that I don't even know if I am going to make it to my session. If I don't go to the session though, I won't feel any better and I know that. Sometimes in this life you have to make a choice, stick through it and just deal with the outcome. A person has to accept it.
This morning I woke up a little late, due to the fact that I didn't get to bed until late last night and I had a crappy sleep to start with. Once I finally managed to get sleeping good, it was time to get up. So I came downstairs, made myself my awesome breakfast of toast, turkey bacon, egg, cheese slice and a slice of tomato. Yum!
Once I finished, I talked to my grandma on the phone for about 10 min, Jan for 20 min and then jumped in the shower to get ready for the gym. My plan was to go to the gym, have my workout and then go to work straight after. Boy was that ever a stupid idea! Thank god my session is in the morning tomorrow.
I walked over to the Esso, grabbed a couple packs of smokes, my pay stub and headed on over to the gym. Once I got there I decided to get on the eliptical for 10 min at a level 6. I was hitting speeds of 4.7 and 4.8 which is something I have never done before. Wow, cool! From there, I decided to give my feet a little bit of a break and got on the bike and did that for 5 min. By this time I was sweating bullets and thought, well, maybe I will cool down a little on the treadmill for 30 min. Ya right. I varied my speed and incline and wound up hitting a 3.3 speed and 6.5 incline for 2 1/2 min. Again, something I haven't done before. I was feeling pretty good at this point and wanted to continue on but, I had to get my butt in gear and go to work.
I walked across the parking lot, went into the Esso, grabbed a large Timmie's coffee and was chatting with the girl behind the counter when I heard someone say "Krista, you are holding up the line!" I turned around and there was Jeremy smiling like a cheshire cat. What a little bugger. So, I talked to him for a couple min and then headed on my way to work. On my way to work, I saw someone walking down the street and she looked familiar but, with my eye sight, which is attrocious, I couldn't tell who it was until they were almost 2 feet away. It was one of my coworkers, Reetu. She was sent home due to the fact that it was really slow.
Needless to say, it was pretty neat because the last couple of days, I have been running into or seeing people at work that I normally wouldn't see. Jeremy was in to McDonald's twice yesterday, once just to say hi and the second time because he was hungry. Silly boy. I also saw two of my former co-workers from the other McDonald's, Mark and Mitchell. I love where I work!
So, now that it is 12:42am, I am going to finish drinking my coffee, attempt to do my stretches and core homework, and then get to bed. I have to be up in 6 hours to get ready for my session and those will probably take me until 1:30 or even 2 before I'm done. Sheesh! This kinda sucks! Good thing I am off on Saturday!
Since my session is at 10am, I will most likely be home by 12 at the latest and I will have my blog up shortly after that.

Day 174
So far it has been an ok day. I thought maybe yesterday I would get to the gym and get a workout in before work but, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my cheque until 3pm and I was unable to go. However, I did go today for a little bit. I went in at 12pm and wound up only staying for a half hour but in that half hour I accomplished a 3.2 speed on the treadmill and the incline was in between a 2.5 and 6.5 the whole time. As the sidewalks are so slippery I figured I would come home and try to chip off some of the ice that has built up on the driveway because it is like a skating rink out there! Going to the gym this morning just going from the side of the house to the front gate I slipped 5 times and almost fell. I have a feeling tomorrow I will be a little on the sore side.
Once I got home, I had my coffee and did a few of my stretches and wound up holding the plank for a few seconds. I didn't want to do too much because I still need to chip that ice. I finally found out that my session is for sure on Friday at 10am and that I finally received my homework from Jeremy which was to do 10 min of core today and tomorrow and 45 min of cardio tomorrow. And then he said to make sure I was ready for Friday which tells me that I may wind up being in a lot of pain Friday evening. Only because he kind of gave the evil chuckle after he said it. Oh boy, am I not looking forward to this one.
Tonight when I get home I will be doing some more stretches, the plank and I will be aiming for at least 150 ab crunches. Maybe I will throw in a few pushups in there as well, I'm not sure. It depends on how I feel when I get home.

Day 172 - Weigh in, Session
Thank goodness it's a new year! Now that the holidays are over and my schedule is a little bit more free I will be able to get the daily blogs up every day instead of every couple of days. On Saturday I was hoping to get to the gym before 6 and stay in bed until at least 4 or 5 and watch movies all day. That was the plan anyways. However, I made the mistake of coming downstairs and making myself a cup of coffee at 9am and sitting on the chair with my blanket for a few min after breakfast. And then the dreaded phone rang. It was my Aunt Cher and although I wanted to stay home, I realized that I wanted also to go out.
She asked me to come to her place and spend the night as her birthday is on the 1st and she wanted to play games and have a good time. So, she came and picked me up at 3pm and away we went with the stipulation that someone had to go for a walk with me later that evening so that I could get my cardio in. Stacey (my cousin) came with me at 8 pm and we went for an hour walk and then came back to have a contest to see who could do the plank the longest. Of course, she won. Only by a couple of seconds though :)
This morning I was up at 8:30 and really excited to go to my session today. Alot had happened on the weekend and I was hoping to hear about his weekend as well. So, I wound up being about 5 min late, yay me, and did a 5 min warm up on the treadmill and then he came to get me.
We started off doing 12 reverse lunges on the TRX ropes, and then 12 rowing pulls. Had a quick drink and then back into the reverse lunges and the pulling rows again. Once finished with that I had to do walking lunges from one side of the gym to the other and back and then do side lateral step outs while lifting weights 12 times on each side. We repeated these 2 exercises 2 more times and then I was lucky enough to do my favorite, the stairs! I had to carry the 7.5 lb dumbells down the stairs and up 2 times and then go down and up the stairs 2 more times without. By the time I got up the stairs the fourth time, Jeremy had informed me that my hour walk on Saturday didn't count towards my cardio homework and he thought that I should have come to the gym instead because it is higher intensity. What a guy!
I have news for that boy, let me tell you! Anyways, I don't know when my next session is, I believe it is Friday at 10am. Jeremy is supposed to be texting that info to me a little later today. He will also text me my homework because we were so busy talking about other things that we forgot to discuss the essentials.
My weigh in was not done yesterday as I was in Devon until 3pm so I figured I would weigh in today. I stepped on the scale and cringed because I didn't know how it was going to turn out with it being the Christmas holiday and all. I am at 219! 45lbs lost! Wow that feels good! I am very proud of myself and also very thankful for all of the support that I have from everyone and especially to Jeremy for being kind and patient with me, even when I am being extremly difficult. I only have 9 sessions left with him and I will not be renewing because I think I have spent enough money and I am pretty sure that I am able to get the last 40lbs off on my own. I just hope that Jeremy and I will be able to keep in touch and that we can be friends when it is all said and done. He is a huge motivator for me!
I will be heading to the gym every day this week, so the posts will still be coming. I hope everyone had a fantastic new year!
