So today I was awake at 8am to try and make it to the gym for 9 but, as usual, I didn't make it on time. I had my shower after talking to Jan for almost an hour and headed out the door making it to the gym for 10am. I did the treadmill for 35 min and then made my way over to the ladies only room where I continued on my cardio workout on the bike for 20 min. I got home and rested for the majority of the day before I did my usual 4 stretches and called it a day in regards to my exercise for the day.
My mood is pretty good today, as I have a few choices that I have to make in regards to more life changes that could arise in the next week or so. I won't share anything yet, as I don't know what I am going to do at this point. However, it could prove to make my life just a little bit easier and also quite a bit better as well. We'll see how it goes.
I was reading my blogs starting from Day 1 today also and I had to laugh because I thought on those first few days that doing the bike for 8 or 9 mins was going to kill me! Now I am able to do it for an hour on a good day and 30 min the rest of the time. I've been thinking about all of the accomplishments that I have made thus far, and I am sure getting stronger. I'm feeling much better as well in regards to pain in the back. As I still have the scoliosis in the lower back, at times it is still pretty painful but,n for the most part I am ok. Now all I need is to get these feet in check and I will be good to go.
I am so thankful that I have the few people in my life that are constantly pushing me through all the good and bad. Nikki has been one of my biggest as she will not let me give up no matter what happens and also Jeremy is a huge supporter as well. Just when I feel like I don't want to do anymore he gives me that extra push to keep me on the right track. The rest of my supporters are greatly appreciated as well and you know who you are. Thanks guys!

Day 119 - Session
I wasn't a hundred percent sure that I was going to do a blog today. I've had a pretty emotional day and I'm not really proud of my session this morning. I didn't give it all I could have, and my heart was just not there. However, here I am, blogging away once again.
I didn't have a good sleep again last night. Seems to be a pattern that keeps coming and biting me right in the bum. I am thinking way too much, can't get my mind off of things and I'm hoping that my little meltdown this afternoon with my aunt will put my mind at ease just a little bit.
I got to my session right on time and started off on the treadmill for 3 min, didn't really feel up to it and then finished my warm up on the bike for 2 min. Jeremy came and got me and took me over to the TRX ropes. I had to do a squat and then a rowing pull. I did this 12 times each alternating and then we went over to the benches and I had to do what Jeremy calls "burpies". Basically what you do is a pushup on the side of the bench, jump to a standing position, raise your arms above the head and jump again. I had to repeat all of this about 15 times and then go back to the TRX ropes and do 20 squats in a row and then 20 rowing pulls.
I went down and up the stairs 3 times which Jeremy did with me, and then I had to do bench squats with 7.5lb dumbells raised above my head 12 times and then the stairs 2 times. Then I had to squat with the dumbells lowered just under my knees and then while standing up raise them into bicep curls. Then I had to get into a lunge, do a bicep curl, stand up, and repeat 12 times on each leg. After this I went into walking lunges with my arms held out to my sides and back then down the stairs one more time. I finished off with the eliptical for interval training which I completely hated but did it anyways for 8 min because I am such a good girl. My next session is on Thursday morning at 9 and before it comes I of course have homework to do which is 20 min of stretching tonight, 10 min of stretching tomorrow as well as an hour of cardio and then 10 min of stretching on wednesday as well as an hour of cardio. So until tomorrow then ....

Day 118 - Weigh in
I can honestly say that I'm not sure how I'm feeling today. I am having mixed emotions running through me so far this morning. One minute I feel happy, proud of what I have accomplished and the next I just want to cry. It's getting closer to Mom's anniversary, and yes, I miss her dearly as I always will, but at the same time, I feel happy that she is at peace and in a great place. I feel alone these days. I know it's just a phase, and it will pass, but it doesn't stop me from feeling this way.
I got up this morning thinking about the gym and how great it would be to be able to go just a little bit faster on the treadmill, and then I thought, I really don't feel up to doing the gym today. I was hungry, had a hard time sleeping once agian last night, and just didn't feel up to going. So, I made my breakfast, had two cups of coffee and jumped in the shower. My mind was made up and I did my workout here at home.
I pulled out the yoga mat, and got down on the floor and pointed my toes down and stretched my arms above my head. I did 20 ab crunches and took a 20 second rest for my back, and then pulled my left leg across my right and held for 45 seconds. I did another 20 ab crunches and repeated with the other side, followed by 20 more crunches. I took another 20 second rest, put my right ankly on the left knee and pulled up, 20 ab crunches and then did the opposite side with 20 more ab crunches.
Once finished with these, I rolled over on my belly and did the plank for almost 19 seconds and then pulled up into the cobra position. I had a little bit of a rest and then tried the plank again. I was not successful the second time, I was only able to do it for 6 seconds but, at least I tried it.
I was going to do a small workout before work but, unfortunately Nikki was here so I was unable to get my workout done. I work 4 - 10 today so I will make sure to at least do an hour workout tonight when I get home. Last night Jan met me at work and we went for a half hour walk with the dogs so I'm pretty sure I can at least get my hour and a half in tonight before bedtime.
I stepped on the scale this morning and it said that I have lost another 2 lbs. So I am now at 232lbs. 8 more lbs to go and the no smoking is going to be in effect. I'm getting fairly excited! I will have the blog up tomorrow after lunch at some point after my doctor's appointment and session.

Day 116 - Session
I can't believe I'm still standing after last nights workout and my session this morning. I still have quite a bit of energy which is good, but my feet are just begging for any kind of a break. I stepped on the scale this morning just to see what it may look like for Sunday's weigh in and oh wow, was it ever looking good! Just a little bit of a teaser for you guys today!
I got to the gym at 8 this morning, an hour early for my session because I had caught a ride with Jan to the LRT once again. I did 10 min on the treadmill for my warm up and then I wiped down the treadmill and met Jeremy to get started.
He started me off with the pulley rope and I had to pull without twisting my back across my body with my right arm and then doing a squat while holding the pull at least 12 times and then repeating with the left 12 times. Then I had to do toe kicks kind of fast while he sang some kind of silly song and then repeated both 2 more times but the second and third time I had to hold the medicine ball over my head while I did the toe kicks.
From there I had to do a squat and pull 40 lbs towards me while in the squat and then step over to one side while in the squat and keep repeating about 12 times each way. Then it was on the mat to do pushups, 14 of them and then repeat these two excersises. I went down and up the stairs twice, repeated them one more time and then we made our way downstairs.
I had to sit facing a piece of equipment, grab the bars above me and pull down 12 times, go up and down the stairs twice and then the weight was increased a little bit. I did it again 12 times, stairs 2 more times and repeated with the same weight. One more time going up and down the stairs twice and then I had to go do my cool down which I chose the treadmill for 5 min at a 2 speed and 4.5 incline. We had a pretty good time this morning, quite a bit of laughing and even though the laughing was going on I really was sweating pretty good. Monday is my next session at 830 in the morning because I have an appointment at 10 for an ultrasound so unfortunately I'm gonna have to make Jeremy get up half an hour earlier so that I can make my appointment on time! :) I will still be going strong this weekend, tomorrow I will be going to the gym for an hour with Nikki hopefully after work and then Sunday morning as well. Once I get home both times I will be sure to post my dear blog!

Day 115
I would have to say that today has been a pretty good day. My goal for a 2 hour workout has been acheived today! I felt pretty good this morning going to work and I figured that I might be able to walk to the gym afterwards but, as I worked it seemed that my feet just weren't going to make it. By the time I got off at 6 I walked home and was able to take the car to the gym.
I got there at 7 and went on the treadmill at a 2 speed and a 9 incline for 10 min and then dropped the incline to a 6.5 and increased the speed to a 2.4 for 10 min. I finished off at a 3 incline and a 2.6 for the last 10 min and then made my way over to the bike.
I put the bike on a level 6 and was able to go for about 15 min. I had a quick little break and then went for another 10 min. By this time Nikki was ready to come join me at the gym and needed a ride so I went and picked her up to come workout with me.
Once we returned to the gym I did the eliptical for 25 min and then did the bike for an additional 5 min. I moved off of the cardio equipment and decided that I should do a few weight lifting things as well. I went over to the split pulley rope and pulled 75 lbs 12 times, then went over to a different machine and grabbed the bars on each side and pulled forward 12 times and then reversed that one and did that 12 times. From there I did the leg press 12 times, rested for a couple min and then repeated. By this time I figured I had worked out enough for one day and we left the gym. My total calorie burn for the evening was roughly about 600 calories. Not bad!
Tomorrow is my session with Jeremy, the first of 24, and I'm pretty sure that since I refused to do 2 of the excersises on the last session he is going to make me sweat big time tommorrow! I am really looking forward to it though!

Day 114
With not doing anything on Sunday I have counted it as my rest day and therefore today I opted to do a mini workout at home for about 30 min to 45min. I started off doing walking lunges with my 5lb medicine ball raised above my head from the lliving room to the kitchen. I believe there were roughly about 10 lunges each way. I then headed up the stairs and down 3 times and then did 20 step ups on each leg. I repeated the circuit and then had a little rest. I did it one more time and then got down on the floor to do my stretches. I did the four usual ones that I always do and then did calf raises on the stairs for a kind of cool down. Tomorrow I am going to the gym with Nikki hopefully if I don't work in the evening and we are hoping to be there for at least 2 hours. I really want to get my 3 hours of cardio in and not dissappoint myself again as well as Jeremy.
While I was doing my workout today, I had lots of help and support. Charlie (my lovely kitty) raced me up and down the stairs each time! Lily, came to help with my stretches as well as Sweet pea. Sweet Pea also helped me with my step ups a little bit in the way that I would try to step up and she would already be there waiting for me. Boy do I love our animals! Daisy was really good and just laid off to the side and watched everything go down. But now I have to get ready for work, so that is why I haven't continued on with my workout.

Day 113
After a rough start this morning, and by the end of the day, I had a pretty fantastic day! I woke up at 8am this morning and realized I slept through my alarm that would have allowed me to have the car today to get to my doctor's appointment for 8:30am. I quickly jumped in the shower, called a cab and rushed out the door. Once I got to the clinic, I paid for the cab, went to leave and wound up snagging my finger on something. So now I'm late for my appointment and bleeding to boot! Good thing they have bandaids there!
When the doctor's "assistant" came in she went over my blood test results before I actually got to see my doctor and I can tell you that the stress for the last 2 weeks can finally be put to rest. It turns out that all of my results came back pretty normal! I was told that my cholesterol should be at a 15.6 but, mine was at 15.8. So there was nothing to be concerned about there. My blood sugars are really good, normal, so no Diabetes for me! That one was a biggie for me. She took my blood pressure and let me know that I was 110 over 80 which is good too. Once we finished with those, we got down to the physical examination which was why I was there in the first place and then she sent me on my way to get an xray done of my back and then sent me up with an appointment for an ultrasound for next week.
She also took a look at my feet and poked and prodded and told me that I have Plantar Fasciitis. She gave me a perscription for a cream that I am supposed to apply 3 times a day and then also told me to use a golf ball on my feet as much as I can until it starts to feel better. Once I do, I am supposed to keep on with the ball on a daily basis to help it stay good and to always wear shoes in the house or wherever I may be.
So once I was finished here, Matt (Nikki's Fiancee) came and picked me up and drove me over to the World Health Centre so that I could pay the first installment on my next sessions. I had taken a coffee for Jeremy (cause he asked nicely and I'm such a nice person) and when I went to pay, my debit card declined on me. Really? I know I had the money in there!
As it turned out, I did have the money in there but, because my service fees came out for my bank, I paid for a cab in the morning, and I bought the coffee, I was $6 short to pay for the installment. WHAT??? LOL Anyhow, it is all fixed now and I am good to go. Once Matt dropped Sophia and I off at home it was smooth sailing until Jan got home. I was still pretty pumped about my test results and was really anxious to get to the gym. I went to Nikki's at 6:30 to pick her up and instead of taking the elevator up, I took the stairs. She lives on the fourth floor of the building so I figured that it would be a good start to our workout! Coming back down we again took the stairs and headed to the gym.
Once we got to the gym we got on the treadmill and started at a 9 incline and 3 speed and kept going for about 5 min. Then we played with the speed and incline up and down a little bit and after half an hour, we decided to go try out the bikes for 10 min. All in all we only did 40 min but, in my eyes, it's better than nothing. Before bed I did my normal four stretches that I usually do, and I did a nice calf stretch that also helps out the Planta Fascia as well on the stairs. Tomorrow morning I am hoping to go to the gym for 9am and may stay just a wee bit longer than an hour and get a little bit longer of a workout in. Considering the fact that my "homework" is 3 hours of cardio, I should probably get on it! Friday is my next session with Jeremy at 9am and I can't wait to see what he has in store for me! Chow for now!
